Officers of the Imperial Navy:
Following on the resignations of Captain Laithlis and Commander Mikfarlant, real life pressures limiting Captain Calder's available time, and the ascension of Drazhar to the post of the Senior Fleet Officer, some restructuring of the Imperial Navy was in order, with regard to the Empire at War units.
As you are all aware, Empire at War has been, until now, based out of Nebulon-B Frigates, termed "Support Ships", as their role is to lend support to larger cruisers (eg. Victory Star Destroyers) in actions and standard patrols. This has also had the downside of leaving our Imperial Star Destroyers (Chimaera and Nemesis) somewhat lacking in officers, as all of the Empire at War units have been off-ship.
Empire at War units have now been reorganized into Bridge Crews for the Imperial Navy's ISD Chimaera and ISD Nemesis. A bridge crew has several positions which are of note and receiving assignment. For the purposes of clarity, I will list them here and explain a bit about each of them.
Team Leader: Ranked Lieutenant or Lieutenant Commander. The leader of the team and the general supervisor of the officers therein. When the captain or first officer gives an order, the team leader ensures it is carried out.
Adjutant: Ranked Sub-Lieutenant or Second Lieutenant. The adjutant is the personal bridge assistant to the captain or first officer, and is tasked with communicating with the command staff. The adjutant also fills in for and assists officers who are otherwise occupied.
All other positions are ranked Ensign or Ensign First Class.
Communications: In charge of inter-ship, ship-to-ship, and ship-to-shore communications to and from the bridge of the Star Destroyer.
Navigator: Sets and executes the courses for the vessel at sublight and hyperspace speed. Uses the on-board navicomputer to perform hyperspace calculations.
Fire Control: Relays and co-ordinates firing orders to the appropriate gunnery crews.

After some discussion between Fleet Admiral Fel and myself, the new SFO has been chosen from the applicants. Thank you to all who applied, your interest will not go unnoticed.
I hereby promote Lieutenant Commander Drazhar to the rank of Line Captain and position of Senior Fleet Officer! Congratulations Captain, I know you'll do a fine job.

| One Army, One Brigade |

The Imperial Army is closing one of its Brigades, with all active Companies and members moved into a single Brigade. Lieutenant Colonel Hennings will be in command, with Major Nexant as his Executive Officer.
With the sentencing of former ALT Shadow, his subsequent removal from active duty along with his clone, former LCP David, Dauntless's remaining two members have been transferred into Spearhead Company. Dauntless itself is being decommissioned as well.
Colonel Longstreet has agreed to step down from Brigade Command and assume command of Demon Company, where I'm sure he'll be an instrumental asset to the unit.
It's basically a case of too many chiefs, not enough indians. Well, at least we're getting a handle on the problem now. Unlike the Navy.

| Unreal Tournament: Troopers Added |

Today I have the fun task of doing something that only Fleet Admiral Fel and then-General Jansen had in the past. Adding a new platform to the Empire's arsenal!
I am able to announce that we have taken on Unreal Tournament: Troopers as a platform. This is a Star Wars mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 - details, as well as download links, can be viewed here: http://www.ut2004troopers.com/
Dragon Company has been reactivated and redesignated as the Army's UTT Company, with Lieutenant Xayun Erinos brought back from the Reserves to command it. BCCs and ACCs are on the way, as are ladders.
One last thing - if any of you have Unreal Tournament 2004, please consider trying it out. At the moment, we have two current GE members who play; myself and ALT Erinos. If you have friends who play UT2004, pester them into joining! Don't forget you'll get OS2 credit for recruiting them.
