Hello everyone! Just been assigned to PSI squadron! It's gonna take me alittle while to learn the system, which should'nt take to long!

Only question I have at the moment is, do I have to have a pilot file sent into the academy if I want to participate in a TIE or XvT battle? What I mean is, I have only sent in for XWA, not for the others,yet. If I'm understanding correctly, I must also have passed those.

Welcome to the Navy, Ensign!

You can send in (to your squadron leader) pilot files for any game you own. You need another Basic Combat Certification from the Academy to be placed in a squadron whose primary platform is a different game.

So no, you don't need extra BCCs... but you might want to get them anyway.

(You should also include your ID-line in your signature, so that we all know who you are.

As for BCCs , the more you get the better. Everything you will do as an Empire's Officer will be regarded as ACTIVITY.

And we Reward ACTIVITY.

EN Pirek! Glad to see you here. You joined the message boards pretty fast and you even got yourself an avatar, very good

Now to your question, so far you have certified yourself solely for XWA. That means that you can only fly XWA missions and competitions. If you desire to expand those to other games like XvT, then you will have to get certified for that.

I think it's just ladders and competitions that require the BCCs for other platforms. Combat Chamber missions can be flown without a BCC for credit (just checked the manual, didn't see anything). I could be wrong, though; Admiral Fel?

Thanks all for the warm welcome!
I did recieve my welcomeing emails, I should have replied to them, sry.
I almost have the requirements for TIE and XvT completed. I am looking over all the manuals and such, to learn what I need to get around.
Especially the medals!

Plan on winning alot!

For now though, I'm just going to consentrate on meeting my squadmates and doing activity for the squad. I visit the MB some, but I'm probably on IRC the most.
I just really like the idea of haveing new missions to fly for my platforms!
I know there are programs around to make missions, but I'm not that good with computers. I know enough to install a new video or sound card, but , ya could train a monkey to do that!

But, honestly, I'm thankful to the people who have the knowledge, the time, and the commitment to spend thier time building this club. I thank you!
Now, that the suck'in up is over with, on to bussiness!

Welcome to the Squadron Ensign. This is a very good squadron on a very good ship. The people in charge are active so it helps to keep us peons active.

Make sure you take the Introduction to GE courses at the Academy! Those will help a lot with giving you a basic idea of how things are run. </shameless_plug>

<rolls out of bed> Um... yeah. Hi and all. I'm the Squadrons CSO. That's Chief Slacking Officer. It's my duty to be active enough to make some posts every week, but slightly too busy to fly missions. Oh, and Steel, I've been meaning to tell you: I'm without a gaming computer this week, but I'll try to fly some when I get back to college next Monday. Emphasis on "try", as I'm not sure of my schedule.
