Yes, its time we pick names for the rest of the 16 nameless companies in I and II Corps. All names should be posted on this thread.

There are plenty of names for everyone to get a stab at. Major General Jagged Fel and myself will be picking the winners. Depending on how many people take part, will set what medals I award.

This comp is open to all members of the Galactic Empire and will go on from today till the 19th.

By the way, I tried to avoid long-ish, more solemn names like Relentless, Inexorable and such, because they're more suited to be given to Star Destroyers. Matter of face, there was an ISD Relentless, ISD Inexorable, ISD Emperor's Fist and I believe Harrsk had an ISD Hurricane.

You'll find that squadrons tend to have short, punchy names too. The idea is that shorter names are easier to say - especially in the heat of combat. "Claws, attack!" is easier than "Indefatigable Fists of the Emperor, attack!"

Slight exaggeration, but you get the idea.

Firstly Major Burton, I knew some of the names sounded like ISDs but I didn't mind that, secondly the longer names in action e.g. Emperor's Fist , would be cut down to "Fists Open Fire!" etc. Also Phoenix is easy to say and Foo dogs is pretty easy too - you could just say "dogs"
