A Call to all Naval Officers...!

My fellow officers of the Imperial Navy:

As rosters and other necessary infrastructure has stabilized, it is time for us to begin the return to glory and greatness for which we were known in the past. The Fleet is, numerically, but a shadow of what it once was, but we can take consolation in knowing that what remains of the Imperial Forces represent the core of loyal Imperials - loyal to His Majesty the Emperor, loyal to his designate Grand Admiral Daemon (and now Fleet Admiral Polanski), and most of all, loyal to each other.

A great deal of time ago, before many of you were part of the Galactic Empire, and when Empire Reborn was not yet even officially released, there was a struggle in the GE between two groups; one of which I termed the "Loyalists". In those days, it was a partisan and segmented term, since we only represented a portion of the GE membership (albeit the largest and most influential). Now, I want that term to take on new meaning.

We are *all* Loyalists, now. As my own personal motto is "Honor and Loyalty", so should we all take that to heart. But remember: honor and loyalty count for little unless in back of them lie courage, integrity, and efficiency.

This is not limited to a single officer, a single squadron, a single ship, or even a single division; we must put our best foot forward across the Empire regardless of our individual positions. Grand Admiral Daemon strongly iterated on more than one occasion a sentiment that has been echoed by all senior officers at one time or another: the Empire, in all its might and all its power, derives *all* of its strength from the individuals that make up its components. Yes, the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of its individual aspects, but we must never forget that it is through the hardwork and determination of our junior officers that we are truly able to function.

We stand now at a great crossroads: we can move forward into the future with confidence, zeal, and determination - or we can falter and fail. Throughout history, battlefields are littered with the bodies of those who, when they stood upon the edge of ultimate victory, sat down to rest; and resting, they died. We shall not be like them.

We hold the future of the Empire in our hands, and for the first time ever, we also stand with a fully clean slate: we have the best of what the old Empire had to offer, and we are moving forward as one cohesive organization without the pettiness and infighting that plagued previous attempts. Yet we in the High Command, while providing leadership and direction for our great enterprise, are not infallible and are not omnipotent. It falls upon the lieutenants, sub-lieutenants, and ensigns to truly bring this monumental task to fruition: activity must start again with you.

With the reorganization of the Fleet, there are any number of competitions that can be run, useful discussions that can be had, and general cooperation to bring the GE back to what it once was.

The Galactic Empire is more than just a social club: it is a standard around which Imperial Officers around the galaxy can unite to converse on relevent topics, practice their skills, and ultimately prepare for the day when we will reclaim what is rightfully ours: the rule of the Galaxy.
