Transfer to Reserves

Fellow Imperials,

I never wanted to do this any time soon with my time in the GE, but I am placing in a request to be transferred to the reserves. Some of this is as a result of what I have mentioned in one of my more previous topics relating to my inactvity within this fine organization, but some emotional things seem to becoming problematic, and there are a couple of things that I need to back out of, and this is one thing that I can do that with. I do not know why my emotions are becoming this way, nor do I understand it entirely but I do have my ideas and I do know that some time in the reserves here won't hurt. I think the last thing that you all need right now is an emotional sub-lieutenant.

I do not, however, want to become entirely seperated from the GE, and I will therefore still return here to the message boards on occasion to check up on things so that I remain at least somewhat up to date in case I do return, which I hope my situation allows me to in the future. I also have some fiction that I should finish for the archives, although I'm not sure how easily I can do that right now. My decision here is nothing against the members of the Empire Reborn, and there is a very good chance that I will be making this same announcement with my squadron in the Emperor's Hammer.

So, I would like to render one final salute to you all before I fade away a little bit, and tell you all that I am sorry for leaving on such a short notice. I feel that I do not have much of a choice, though, and at the same time I do not feel a major farewell post is necessary. Best of luck to everyone.

You have been a very good officer in your time with us, Sub-Lieutenant, and I wish you the best in your continued endeavors. I am certain that I need not remind you that if you should ever wish to return to Imperial service, you can simply contact Admirals Polanski or Fel or General Jansen and they will be more than happy to accomodate you.

I can't say I really knew you, Russel, but judging from you posts on these boards you're a nice fellow and a good officer. We'd need more of your kind around this place. But I know rather well how these emotional things can get in the way of, well, everything. Good luck in real life, Sub-Lieutenant. :-)
