About the XWA mission for OS: Chapter 2

Two notes for pilots:
A) You MUST use the pilot file included in the simulation ZIP file. This is imperative.
B) Only successfully complete the mission ONCE per pilot file. If you want to try to do better again, then copy the clean pilot file from the ZIP, rename(add a -2 or someting to the end of the name), and fly that. If you use the file twice and complete successfully both times, then XWA will report an erronous score and your file will be invalid.
Commanding officers, please relay this to your officers (no matter the division).
Thank you.

Even if you delete the first pilot file? That's a new one by me.

I assume you're talking about completing the XWA mission twice... no, deleting the first makes no difference. The scores need to go on a new version of the included pilot file in all cases.

Err... I was under the impression that the "XWA Pilotfile Viewer 3001" (which can be downloaded here:
http://www.darksaber.gaylenol.com/filepilot.htm) reports scores very, very correctly - no matter how often you fly the mission. But apparently, one does indeed learn something new every day.

EDIT (you can pretty much disrgard below

): The GE XWA mission now will load from the Briefing Room. I looked into a few things after Syrt mentioned the editor, and found a good way to do it. Scores will now be part of the Tours of Duty, instead of the Sim Center, so you can fly to your heart's content.

Looks good.
The problem is, however, that XWA does not seem to like Custom missions anywhere but the Combat Simulator. For instance, when you're on the Family Transport, putting your mouse over EmKay won't display "Play" if the mission you're currently on is custom.
If anyone knows anything about installing custom missions, then please, by all means, post here.

All details about how the EH handled custom missions *before* they started using the obscure battle launcher programs. Maybe it contains some generally useful things.
As for XWA: You need to edit a blank pilot file, so it has all official XWA battles listed as completed. All custom missions can then go into a new section of the mission.lst file - after the official ones.
