Fleet News:
Recent Outer Sectors News:
So far the campaign seems to be going well. We have managed to expand our territory and construct a brand new shipyard for the Empire. Though there have been a few setbacks, like the loss of the VSD Dominance and the extensive damage the Chimaera sustained in it’s last engagement, we have continued to push forward. My compliments to all members of the crew who have chosen to participate in the campaign. We really could not have done as well as we have without your everlasting dedication.
New Gimel Squadron Leader Found:
I’m sure you’ve all noticed by now that we have a few new members aboard. First of all we have Lieutenant Commander Stark returning to us from the Chimaera. Most of you will remember Stark from his time is Gimel Squadron, and given his performance so far I believe he’ll be an asset to this ship. Also joining us from the Chimaera are 2nd Lieutenants Tornado and Mar, another pair of promising officers. With these new additions Gimel Squadron now has one of the most experienced groups of senior officers in the entire fleet.
Operation “What’s it calledâ€:
Those of you who’ve visited the message boards recently have probably noticed a few wild ideas currently circulating about certain members of the GE attempting to create some sort of game. Well now I can tell you there is some truth to these rumors. Captain Vortagh and I have been doing some concept work on a possible Galactic Empire platform in conjunction with a fair amount of other senior officers. More details will probably be released over the next few months.

Participation in Outer Sectors:
So far participation has been pretty fair, though I would like to remind everyone sending in a submission to CC it to me as well so I can keep track of who I need to pester. If nobody CCs me then I’ll just have to harass all of you, and where’s the fun in that?
Leaves:
Commander Laithlis should be returning from his semi leave by mid August. 2nd Lieutenant Tornado recently went on leave due to personal reasons, but in now back with us. 2nd Lieutenant Mar has also returned
Recent Awols:
As part of his duties as the new Gimel Squadron Leader, LC Stark instituted an awol check of his squadron and reported the outcome back to me not too long ago. As a result Ensign Moonbreaker has been transferred to the Reserves. Beyond that Gimel seems to be in pretty good shape, though I would like to see its members participate a little more on the message boards.
Medals Awarded:
Lieutenant Branet received the Bronze Seal for his consistent activity and participation in GE events over the last few years. Congratulations Lieutenant! Those of you who also feel like gaining a little metal for your collection can do so by showing excellent activity and participating in GE events.
Ship Activity:
Line Captain Wedge – Lately I’ve been spending most of my free time studying for collage entrance exam, hoping to get into a good technical institute and become a certified computer geek. But I’m still here as much as always. My Skype account seems to be working well enough again. My nick is “MrCanadianGuy†for those who have a copy and feel like dropping me a line.
Commander Laithlis has been on leave lately, and will probably continue to be so for a few more weeks, though he can still be spotted on MSN occasionally.
Lieutenant Commander Stark has participated in Outer Sectors and motivated several members of his squad to participate as well. Excellent work so far, keep up the good work Commander!
Lieutenant Branet is doing quite well as the current leader of the Imperial Survey Corps as well as performing his duties here with his customary diligence. As such I put him up for the Bronze Seal not too long ago. Good work Lieutenant.
