John Foley looked out of the viewport of the shuttle that he and his company are in. Seeing the battlefield below was an amazing piece of art of mayham. seeing the various battles going on and the carnage brought cihlls down Foley's back. He looked over at the members of his comapny. They were all green and unready for battle. Thinkin Foley relized that he himself was not ready for this battle. Army Captain Nathan Chu was the only person who had any combat experience but he had a lot of preasure since he had no body to help him with his duties. As the highest ranking persno after Captan Chu, Foley had automaticly taken on most of those duties and would be acting as the second in charge of the battle. Noticing Captain Chu nod to him, Foley an Chu got up facing the company. Since the coming series of orders formally went to the grunt Foley began to prepare the men to leave the shuttle,
"Get Up" "Face Forward" "Check your equipment" "Count OFF"
"Stand at Ease" "Captain Chu has something to say."
"Men of Viper Company. I know that this battle may seem unfair to us. We are the greenest and least prepared company for this battle. However lets throw that fact aside and focus on what we've learned. This is your chance to utilize yuor training. This is where you will hone your skills. Remember, A warrior is not made in a school, he is made on a battlefield. Even though we are ill-fit for this battle, I want us to be the most impresive and show that we are hard working. We will be sent out within a few days to relive a company or even two, and then wait ourselves for relief. Untill then, talk to people who have seen battles, and more importantly, this battle. Learn what you can and be as prepared as possible. Now. We will be sharing a baraks with Spearhead Company. They have been recovering from battle and will join us in a few days to aid us. Find a place to stay in Baracks T-312 and I will talk to you later. Lance Corpral Foley has details on the camp and where the facilities are, so talk to him if you have any questions. I will be with HQ to get the final details on our orders."
Chu summed up his speech as the mouth of the shuttle opened. Walking out, Chu ran off to do as he said leaving Foley to lead the company to barracks T-312. After about a half hour of directing people to every which place, Foley went to the barracks to see how everything was being organized. Going over to the Spearhead half of the barracks, Foley found his friend CPL Klanderman.
"Hey Klanderman" Foley shoulted, causing Alex to turn to see who was calling him. Seeing it was Foley, Klanderman walked over, hiding the fact his leg was had gone into Version 2.0.
"Hey John" Klanderman replied. "When'd you get here?"
"Just now, Viper Company's rooming with you guys. We'll be joining you in a relief effort in a few days."
"I see, so how's the training been going?"
"Well I guess its done for now. We're the least prepared, but I expect we'll do a good enouhg job. I personally have a lot of pressure. I've been doing an XO's work helping Captain Chu with things. Everything but title, you know what I mean?"
"Yup, its the same situatino for me, though I have been more trained for it."
"Not to mention you have that extra little block in your rank insignia" Foley said with a chuckle, which Klanderman gave a smirk to.
"Well let me show you around John." Ales said, "We may as well get you prepared for the coming fight".
They both walked off talking and updating eachother on what has happened.

After being reunited with Alex, Foley headed off to the HQ to find Captain Chu and let him know that everything is in order and that Viper Company was ready to jump at a moments notice. Walking into the meeting room Foley patiently waited for the officers there to sum up. A few minutes later, they were ready to leave. Foley met Chu in the doorway and started walking towards the weapons cache.
"Captain, every member of Viper Company is ready for battle. If we are called out earlier than necissary, we're ready to go."
"Good. You've done me a huge favor by doing this. How's our room. I hope we're not overcrowded with Spearhead in there too."
"No. We even have room for a few extra if need be."
"Good. Go get the men. We're going to issue out extra supplies. We've been authorized to get the extra stuff because of our green status, and I want to be prepared for the worst situation, be it Rebel or Nature."
"Yes Sir." Foley saluted and ran off to bring the men in.
After two hours of painstaking packing, it got to be night time. Each comapny had to contribute two gaurds for the LZ and Captain Chu chose Foley and Private Delta to do it, since they were the first two to be in the comapny. The only good part of this was that they were patrolling the inside of the camp, and not outside. While walking around they heard shots in the distance, and saw a group of star fighters firing their lasers at eachother in the now not to far distance. Foley and Delta stopped walking and looked up. The battle in the skies was coming closer at greater speed. And soon they could see the individual fighters moving and falling from the sky. When the battle was directly over them Foley got a premonition and frowned. A few seconds later a fighrer started falling directly at the LZ. Flying down to the ground they firey scrap crashed into the Tertiary Fuel Dump causeing a large explosion. Foley and Delta started running for the scene and were uneffected from the heat, being in their armor. Foley directed Delta to start looking for survivores on the northern side of the crash and Foley stated checking the Southern side. Foley maaged to pull 3 people from the heat and let medical personel take over. Finding no more living victims, Foley ran to check on Delta who managed to save four people from the firey blaze. Calling Delta over, Foley had him come with him to finish off their patrol rounds, konwing that if there were any rebels near by, that this would be an attack oppurtunity for them and Foley wanted to be prepared.
With the rest of the night being uneventful, Foley and Delta turned in and sent out the next patrol pair. Tired and mentaly exhausted from the past day's events' gigantic meanings, Foley fell asleep and dreampt of his childhood.

The next morning Foley got up and notice dhtat Captain Chu was already dressed in full uniform. Foley started getting into his uniform himself and walked over to the makeshift desk that Chu was sitting at. Pulling up to the side of the desk Foley started talking with Chu and preparing for the final hours before their deployment.
After finalizing everything Foley started waking up everyone. Bringing them out, Foley had them line up in formation and began to check their equipment and after everyone was inspected, walked up to Captain Chu and saluted. After having the salute returned Foley fell into formation on the far right. Chu grabbed a cart next to him and started issueing out the Battle Armour that the Company would be wearing. After issueing the white armour to everyone, Chu walked up to Foley and handed him a Officer Battle Uniform. Looking up Foley gave Chu an inquisitive look. Chu just gave it to him. After everyone had the equipment they would be using, Chu dismissed everyone and sent them back to the barracks to change. Foley studied his uniform at the bed. It was an officer's uniform but it had the LCP insignia on it, and otherwise was bare. After putting it on, Foley walked over to Captain Chu.
"Sir, excuse me, but I don't belive I'm allowed to wear an officer's unifrom. I'd just hate to get in trouble with anyone."
"Don't worry about it Lance Corpral. After thoroughly looking through the Field Manuels, I've determined that the uniform you are now wearing is for whoever's second in command of a Company. While you're not an XO, you ARE next in command in the field if anything should happen. According to the manuel, the second of command wears the uniform you are wearing. Treat it with respect Lance Corpral. It is a legal, thuogh rare honor for one such as yourself to wear. Most company commanders would not bother to issue the uniform you are wearing, even though they are in similar situations. I have been treating you and giving you duties that would be reserved for my XO, but since we don't have one, I figured I'd give you the respect you deserve for the work you've done. Don't let me down. Remember, I have faith in you."
"Thank you Sir. I hope I won't let you down. I'll do my best to bring honor to the uniform and the company." Saluting Foley walked away and finished preparing for battle.
Foley, walked out with Chu and called the company to formation. Since he was in the Officer's uniform, Foley stood behind the formation, and faced Chu. Viper's line of soldiers kept going on into Spearhead's. Chu and ALT Farmer of Spearhead stood in the center of thier companies. To Foley's right was Second Lieutenant Branet. Calling the formation into a column formation, the duel companies started marching to the exit of the Landing Zone. The gates opened and the quasi brigade walked off to the battlefield and thier destiny.

After moving through the Genosin Desert, the members of Viper and Spearhead companies could hear fighting. Soon Private First Class Rylan of Viper Company started recieving distress signals from up ahead. Ordering the two groups to double time, Army Captain Chu lead the two groups up the hill. Peeking the hill Foley could see a large group of Rebel Pirates attacking a group of Imperial Soldiers. Captain Chu had Private First Class Tiberius Bozidarius and Private First Class Gunfodder Zoke set up a sniper position and took in the scene. Army Lieutenatnt Farmer started leading Spearhead to the right flank of the Pirates. So far they were un-noticed. After they were on the flank, Chu ordered Viper company to move out. Moving directly to the location of the other Imperial troops Foley fired his standard E-11 Blaster Rifle and managed to catch a Pirate Trooper who hadn't yet noticed the advanceing Viper Company. Reaching the pinned down troops, Foley took cover behind the rocks. Taking out a concussion grenade launcher from Delta's backback, Foley lobbed a grenade at an advancing Pirate party, instantly blowing the group to shreds. Putting the launcher on the ground, Foley looked at Chu to see if he had any orders. Chu however was looking in the direction of Spearhead. Looking where Chu was, Foley could see a silhouette of an Imperial Officer. He had gave a quick wave. Looking back at Chu, Foley smirked at the Flare that Chu had in his hands. Looking back at the Pirates Foley opened fire and dropped a couple who were bold enough to try to advance. Jumping a little Foley looked in the direction of Spearhead as the flare went off. Spearhead jumped over the dune that they were at and started running and shooting downhill on the Pirate position. Taking pot shots at the retrating Pirates, Foley eventually stopped firing when Spearhead finished overwhelming what was left of the Pirates who hadn't retreated.
After the battle, Captain Chu saluted the Junior Lieutenant of the group of pinned Imperials and had them head back to the LZ. Ordering a quick rest, everyone unwined and relaxed. Today was a victory, and not a single member of Viper or Spearhead were hurt.

Everyone thought that that was how the rest of the battles on Geonois were going to go, but the veterans and the officers knew different. They knew that that was just a skirmish, the next battle would be bloody, and there would be casuaties for Viper and Spearhead.
Klanderman was walking around, encoraging trooper on there proformance, and saying cheap lines like "nice shot" and "you got him good" to keep the moral up. Thogh not aproved highly, it worked pretty good.
Spearhead was somewhat different after taht engagment though, ALT Farmer had to leave, he was escorted back to the LZ, and he said he wasnt coming back for a while. But CPL Klanderman knew that Spearhead as in good hands with the newly appointed ALT Branet, though, with no XO, Spearhead was fine for now.
Then, 2 nights later, with nothing happing inbetween, the sentrys warned that scouts be sent out to try to locate a dust cloud, and see what it was. The scouts came back, depleted, injured, and exasted.
They reported to ALT's Branet and Chu and said that a large force was heading our way, about 1000 strong, and some verterans.
Foley said to Klanderman,"Were in for it now, huh", and Klanderman replied" Yead, big time.'
So the senior NCO's headed out, planing defenses, and getting the troops ready for the battle ahead....

Foley was sitting with Klanderman on some rocks. Klanderman who was in his Stormtropper Armour, had a temperature control, while Foley's uniform, which didn't help with the heat, got him to be quite hot.
"Nothing like Air Conditioning" Klanderman said through his helmet.
"Just be happy you're a higher rank than me Alex" Foley said laughing at his friend. "I'm honored to wear this thing, but its a bit uncofortable. Makes me less... anxious to get a command position."
"Yeah, well I can't wait." Klanderman informed. "I sure hope that I get chosen for XO spot for Spearhead now that Branet's in charge"
"Well, same here with Viper"
Suddenly Captain Chu and Liuetenat Branet got up and made an announcement.
"We have spotted the enemy. Get to your positions and prepare for battle. We have the advantage and should be able to bring thier numbers down quickly, but we must be careful, we are grossly outnumbered and can't get overconfident in our technolgical advanteage"
Rushing to his foxhole, Foley and Klanderman gave eachother a thumbs up and got ready for battle. Foley could already see the outline of enemy troops.
"Well... Everyday on ground was a good one." Foley said to himself.

"Wait untill you can see them clear as the sky, and then open up on them" ALT Branets voice echoed over Spearheads Com. channel.
"Aim for there head, chest and neck", Klanderman said over the channel,"Snipers start picking off the dumb ones who are anctious" that one was to all of the companys.
As the battle began, some nervous Privates opened fire too early, so the noncoms had to settle them down. As Pirates were brought down by snipers, they spread there formation to reduce casualtys, but the Imperial snipers were good, very good. So, even with the smart menouver by the enemy, they kept falling in good numbers.
You would think that the snipers would shoot all at once, but they waited for each other to shoot, so they wouldn't all reload at once, so it worked perfect. While one person reloaded, 5 kept shooting.
As the enemy came into firing range of the troopers, they opened up with a huge barage that left many in the first and second rank sprawling for cover, but there wasnt any. So as many of the Pirates attacking the front, some tried to flank, but some automatic guns were posted to cover them, with a small detach ment to help. So the ememy flanking manovure fell to bits.
As the battle raged on, the Pirates took heavy casualties, but so did Spearhead and Viper. As the battle neared what seemed to be a stalemate, the enemy retreated. So, with a stale in battle, people reported in casualties left and right, and at the end, there was a total of 20 dead, and about 30 injured, so being the senior officer in the 2 companys, Capt. Chu decided to move postions, but left a suprise for the prirates when they came back later.....

Not sure if the enemy would come back, Chu and Branet had the men stay in a ready position for some time, till determining via scouts that they were safe for now. Chu asked Foley to help him with some paper work for thier first day's battle report. After that came chow time. Eating a MRE, Foley wrote a letter to his parents, telling them about his first day of combat. After sending it to the messenger, Foley walked to where Klanderman and PFC Kevin were talking.
"Hey guys" Foley Greeted
"Whats up?" Klanderman asked.
"Hey Lance" Kevin remarked.
"Some battle today no?" Foley asked.
"Yup. More is to come though. thats for sure" Klanderman responded.
"How's Spearhead working out for you?"
"Great. We are considered one of the best out there after all" Kevin said with a grin.
"I know" Foley said.
"So how many battles have you been in John" Kevin asked.
"First one" Foley responded.
"Really? You certainly fooled me." Kevin responded.
"Well... I guess I just have good control over my emotions" Foley said.
"Well we all did well" Klanderman added.
"Cheers to that!!!" Foley said and passed out some drinks.
After a bit of time, most everyone was asleep. Foley was reading a book he brought with him and decided to read it under a glowlamp. Seeing a military type landspeeder approch, Foley got up and went towrds it, as did the nght gaurds. After making sure that it was a real Imperial group, Foley walked up and met who's there.
"What are you doing out here Private?" Foley asked.
"I got a new guy for Spearhead" Foley looked at the guy in the passenger seat.
"My God, Andrew is that you?" Foley asked.
"Hey John, what's up?"
"Not much. Just kinda waiting for day break. You in Spearhead?" Foley asked helping Andrew with his things and letting the driver head back to the LZ.
"Yeah, Just out of the Acadamy."
"Well, they're a good group, I hope you do well with them. Them and Viper are working together for this operation, so I guess I'll get to bug you for a bit."
"Cool"
"Now I can't get you instated, but I'll let ALT Branet know that you're here. Just find a place to camp for now, and I'll get Branet."
"OK"
Foley ran off to get Branet and have him get PFC Seely settled in to his new company.

Kevin had just entered an AT-PT when he saw the outline of the enemy coming back. He knew it wasn't to maneuverable on this sand but it would make a good gun platform. He waited until he heared Branet's command to fire and then let loose a torrent of blaster fire. He saw Klanderman taking cover and opened up a channel on his comlink. "Hey Klanderman how's it going?"

The next day, Foley and Seely were talking and speeding eachother up since the last time they saw eachother on Yaga Minor. Their conversatino was interupted as the order was given to move out. The formation was loose, and no organization was present in the spacing of the troopers. Foley walked up to Klanderman and started talking.
"Well Chu just informed me of our orders" Foley said
"What are they?" Klanderman asked.
"We're going to attack the Pirate's Frontal Command Post. It will be heavily gaurded." Foley informed "I hope that my shooting eye hasn't gotten any stigmatism's overnight" Foley joked.
"Well I'm sure it will go ok. Everyone knows that the Pirates are on the retreat. They most likely will resist for a little. After that they will start to retreat"
"Well We'll give them all the reason to retreat Foley" Foley boasted.
After 3 hours of marching Captain Chu halted the group. He had everyone eat and drink and had us rest for a few hours. After that he informed us that we were an hour out from the Pirate base. After the informatin was dispersed, the march began again.
After an hour, the Base was in sight.

Spearhead would be taking the front entrance, while Viper company would be taking the side. Preparing a charge Branet got ready to lead an attack that would be devestating for both sides. Viper would have it easy for the front entrance would be highly focused on.

Spearhead was waiting for Viper's ready signal. Foley waited for everyone to be set up, and when Chu gave the order Foley fired an Imperial Attack Flare into the air. Foley looked down to see Spearhead charging through barracdes and under heavy laser fire. After 10 minutes, Spearhead had the front gate of the base. Viper, who was extreamely close to the left entrance, charged and attacked the side while the front had all the attention. Being right next tot he gate, they had nothing to sap them on their run to the gate. Placing high explosives on the entrance, Foley cleared the door while Delta blew it open. Chu and Foley charged in and jumped behind cover as a barage of laser fire poured on to them. After throwing a concussion grenade into the enemy position, Chu charged. Foley followed close behind. Seieng a group of enemies, the company charged into them and started beating them before they had a chance to fire. Coming up to the main gate, Chu had Viper lay down heavy suppresive fire upon the gate defenders. Ordering a mass charge, everyone started running at the enemy, vibroblades attached to rifles. Foley was the first to reach the defenders. Gutting someone from over a giant cinder block, Foley jumped over and started slashing his way through the enemy. Feeling a body on his back, Foley turned and got a vibro staff right through his body. Looking at the person who gutted him, Foley took out his service blaster and shot the man in the head. With adrenaline rushing through him, Foley took no heed of the pain and managed to kill a couple more pirates before he fell unconscience to the ground.

Lance Corporal Veron is still sitting with his back propped up against the outer door of the command center after about five hours. He's pretty much given up on pounding on the door, and he's lost his voice from screaming at-slash-cursing the mothers of the officers inside. Dehydrated, banged up, and rather angry, the Stormtrooper just sits, propped up against the wall of the command center, waiting for somebody to come along and find him. If only his communicator hadn't gotten broken.

Foley woke up alone in a small room. There was a light, and after looking around Foley determined that no one else was in there. Feeling an ache in his troso Foley naturaly felt down to where the spot was and was surprised to find a gap in his body, and the insides of his body had a small plastic ring protecting his body form the outside. Other than an ache and no pain, Foley got up and put on an undershirt and walked outside. The hallway was also empty and Foley didn't hear any echo's of feet shuffling around. Walking around, Foley finally found the exit of the base and walked out into the open air. No one was around. Figureing he should get his stuff that was in his room, Foley set back to get his equipment. Putting his uniform on, and holstering his Officer Blaster, Foley slung his E-11 blaster rifle and started exploring what he realized by now was the pirate base that the Company's were attacking earlier. Walking by what appeared to be a communications room, Foley darted in seeing something on one of the screens. Outside there was a pirate band which appeared to have 5 members in it. Frowning, Foley headed for the roof of the instilation. Foley reached the roof and started to lowcrawl his way to the edge of the roof. Peering over the side, Foley could see the pirates looking about the damaged debris from the fight. Training his blaster rifle on the furthest one, Foley took careful aim. Foley fired and managed to hit the pirate at the base of the neck from behind. Rolling to the side as soon as the shot went off, Foley ran for the stairs as the 4 other pirates shouted and ran into the instalation. Training his blaster on the entrance to the building, Foley dropped the first pirate to enter and ran off to another section of the base. Foley could hear the pirates shouting.
"Its an Imperial Officer, Look sharp!!!"
"He got Mike and Lance with one shot!!!!"
Foley darted into a room, and quickly realized it was a dead-end. Behind him he could hear the last 3 pirates running towrds his position. Foley was outnumbered and cornered. Running back towrds the hallway, Foley took out a vibroblade and attached it to his rifle. The first pirate began to round the corner, and screamed as he fell to the floor when the blade cut into his bowels. Foley jumped into the hallway and fired, missing the other two pirates and ran off down the hallway. When Foley felt the heat from a laser brush by his face he jumped down another door. After a second, he heard the pirates pursuing, and turned out of the door again and fired, dropping another one. The other ducked into a hallway, and Foley took his chance to run towrds the entrance. Foley ducked by the door and waited for the last of them. After a good five minutes, Foley heard the slow footsteps of the last pirate sneaking up the hallway. The pirate came out of the hall with his back towrds Foley. Taking aim Foley dropped the last one with no trouble. Foley smirked at his victory, and then frowned as he heard the whish of the door opening and before he could turn felt a crack on the back of his head and fell unconscience once again.

Kevin ran into the base with several more soldiers. "I want you to find Foley and get him back here alive!" he shouted. He ran into a room and suprised several pirates who were shot before they could recover from the shock of his entrance. He grabbd one pirate who had been wounded by his blaster by the collar of his shirt. "Where is the Imperial Officer you captured?" he demanded pushing the pirate against the wall. The pirate just looked at him stupidly and his eyes rolled back in his head. Kevin let the deadpirate fall to the floor and stepped back into the hall. "Sir we've found him." came a voice over his comlink. "Good I'm on my way." came Kevin's reply. When he got to the room where the voices came from he saw Foley lying there blood oozing from a wound on his head. Kevin reached down and felt his pulse. "Get him back to base!" Kevin ordered. "He needs a medic right away!"
