From the Desk of the Legion Commander
Activity has been very minimual. The summer has begun and I would like to see more out of everyone of you. Also, please note that in one week's time, I will be going on a Leave of Absence. High Colonel Derlin will be commanding for the nine days I am away.
Legion News
1. High Colonel Derlin has been working on a Legion site. The preliminary work can be viewed here: http://www.legion.empirereborn.net/
2. Legion Commander's Competition #1 has ended.
Legion Commander Competition #1 Results
Only one person participated, both by sending in a story as well as completing several combat certifications from the Academy. I am very disappointed in the lack of participation. This will change...there is no question.
That single officer is Captain Jagged Fel. My personal thanks and congratulations to you on winning the first Legion Commander's Competition.
Imperial Royal Guard Inductees
The Imperial Royal Guard is undoubtedly the greatest honor a stromtrooper can possess. As the Interim Legion Manual states:
The Royal Guard is not just a simple stormtrooper. A Guardsman, dressed in blood red robes and armor, is selected for his skill, intelligence and loyalty. The Royal Guard has been so secretive that its numbers have been said to range from fifty to thousands. The Royal Guardsman are fighters, assassins, and protectors, as those wish who command them. Wielding the force pike, rumored as deadly as the blasters carried beneath the robes, rumors appear that the upper echelons may have a dark side power.
The Imperial Royal Guard is the elite force of the Stormtrooper Legion, which requires skill assessment to join in the protection of the Emperor and the Supreme Commander. The Royal Guard is a brotherhood of the hardest and mightest fighters within the Stormtrooper Legion, it is nothing less than an honor to be within its ranks.
For too long have I been the only Royal Guardsman. Two officers have worked hard and tirelessly for sometime now and beyond any doubt they deserve this honor.
As Legion Commander and Imperial Soverign Protector within the Royal Guard, I hereby induct High Colonel Derlin into the ranks of the Imperial Royal Guard, obtaining the introductory rank of Royal Guardsman Initiate (RG-INI). He has served well as my my second in command since I obtained Regiment Commander and he completes any task to his greatest ability. Mind you, he is one of the best JK/JO fighters I know. Welcome to the Royal Guard, Initiate Derlin. Congratulations!

He has served well as Detachment Commander and now Regiment Lieutenant. He has participated in every competition and started his own. My thanks for everything he has done. I would also like to induct several stormtroopers into the prospective ranks of the Imperial Royal Guard. The Guardsman Tyro. (See manual for details). The following have been placed as Tyros:
