Hi guys,

I was just wondering if they would consider adding back console games to the GE . I got battlefront 2 today for Xbox and its so much more fluid then the First BF for pc. Lag is not bad on the box. Game is fun fun fun.

If you are interested in starting a Division, or trial division., my services would be available. and i would come out of retirement and try to muster up new recruites and members from Xbox Live SW genra.

Thats is fur sure. I mean, Of course some of the xbox players would be lame. But that happends in any platform or gaming interface. But i believe most SW fans are already fans of JA and XWA and other classics. The xbox fans would be fanatics as well. Not to mention the fact the the Xbox players would be using voice communication to the enhance the game on Xbox live. They would already have a sence of comradree forge. think about it.

This is a good point that should be debated in the Casino's Chamber.

We don't need them all good. We need them ACTIVE! But I am sure we are facing problems that I am not aware of.

But we should discuss more about it. I think this is an opportunity that MUST be explored.

This board exists to debate this topic in its entirety. With Xbox and similar having great titles being released, we should certainly look to incorporate them into the Empire.

We can get the same class of people that La Forge was talking about on a PC, so I dont think that is the issue. The most unfortunate issue is consoles not being able to play PC owners; although I'm sure we can get around this.

There would also naturally be a requirement that they own a PC so that contact doesnt suffer....

I think it would be a good idea. I mean sure they cant play computer players. But there isnt exactly a large majority of the computer players already who play each other. For the most part I play the same people all the time Lee, Foley, Fel. There could be debate as in if they actually own the game and if they actually play it against each other. But there is not exactly anythign we can do about that since we already do not really have a requirement forcing people to play the games. If the Consolers want to join the GE using their stuff I think it would possibly make a nice addition to the GE.

By being here , they WILL talk about the GE to other people and maybe take the opportunity to buy older PC Star Wars games that are already supported by the GE.

This can only be beneficial to the Empire.

I have it for consol, but I cant play online, but it would be a good idea, more people, and a bigger, better, GE, I'll wip'm into shape and get them tick-tocking away at star wars.

I have noticed that console gamers and XBox gamers in particular are really into their games. So, they might make a nice addition. I think that they would just have to be required to have an email address just the same as everybody else. Now I personally do not play online console games but I know some people who do and they are not all 1337 dudes.

I want it to be known that the lack of interoperability between console and PC games in online gaming is - to use l337 sp34k - t3h suxx0rz! In my most humble opinion, of course. :P

I mean, come on - how difficult can it be to make it possible for a console owner to play a PC owner? It's the same f-ing (<- is that okay with board rules? Not that I care, just trying to be polite) game! :P

As for the question at hand, I think console gamers should be allowed in. It's not like the rules prevent our glorious leaders from throwing them out again - should they turn out to be stupid little punks.

Also, Xenophon is right - not all of them are like that. In fact, in my immediate surroundings, many people have started to go into "I don't want to buy a new graphics card every two months" mode. And those are people between the age of 23 and 26.

The point is - there's no real reason not to let them in. And fear not, the immense level of intellect amassed in the GE forces shall not be affected too negatively by a few console gamers. ;-)

Im glad to see the High Response of this post. I am in favor of supporting Console games. As long as console game members are expected to
1. Enlist in the Academy and go across the recuiting process.
2. They should be expected to remain in Email contact every 2 weeks.
3. Should help recruit diehard SW fans into the MOST BESTEST SW RPG style Organization On this side of the Outer Rim Territories.

I would love to participate in recruiting SW fanatic Console gamers to the Galactic Empire. Maybe one day soon into the future, PC and consoles gamers will be able to reunite onto 1 plane of internet multiplayer Virtual Reallity or rpg games.

I support this idea for various reasons.

1) The GE numbers would shine and could get a whole new wave of fresh, bright new recruits.
2)We would almost do the unthinkable and make it work
3)Why not take the risk, they could turn into the future leaders of the Army/Navy!

Incorporation needs to be thought of too..Such as for the Army would we incoroporate these people into the existing infrastructure or create a new Brigade. Like 2nd Brigade has two unused Companies right now would we convert those to use for this idea if it happens or would we start a 3rd Brigade is that I mean. Plus the issue of whether to mix them into existing companies or use such slots for new console only companies.

I'd imagine we'd need console Companies, as it makes it harder to run platform-specific competitions for both PC and console. Can't send save-games or screenshots, and what if the CO winds up only having one version?
