I realize that I'm rather new here and all but I have to admit that I'm glad that there is a PoJ. While the reasons for them may not be easily seen, having someone to keep the site/group rules in order and up to date is a great idea.

I am one of 5 Senior Gamemasters at a RPG site. We run the entire group of 364 "registered" players. The problem is that someone is not set aside to deal with the problems and things get dealt with differently by each SrGM.

So if the group leaders can (not to be rude) stick to their own jobs then a person in the PoJ can actually be a great advantage. Instead of having 3, 4 or 5 people running around and making sure that people are following the rules then things can get done and they can get done in a set format so that everyone is dealt with in the same manner.

Thing is, the cases mentioned were *all* cases people here can remember ever since the club was founded in 1998. There's no need for someone to deal with one case every year.

I believe that people thought that Mr. Dupuy (now Nebel) had created 4-5 clones and had them all placed in his squadron. I'm not sure about the motives for this, but that's what the case was about.

I said "He was deemed not guilty due to lack of evidence."

"Not guilty due to proven innocence" is an entirely different term, even though the effects for the accused are the same. At least that's how it is in my country.

And why not bring it up? It's a historical fact and no one said anything that would, in any way, make it sound as if then-LT Dupuy (now SL Nebel) was guilty.

You're right Syrt, it's pretty much an honorary job with very little in the way of day to day work to be done. That said, I'm still wanting to make the most of what little there is to do, and with the aside of offering occasional pieces of advice, I'm quite content to stay out of peoples way.

I don't see why the Procurator position can't have a little function to it, even if it's seldom used. However, I won't venture a guess as to whether I'm an outstanding club member, or a pseudo-functional insulting members intelligence

To clarify: the "pseudo-functional" statement was aimed at Daemon's way to create positions more than at anything else. Instead of caring about the real problems of the club, he had this tendency to create a huge overhead in positions, which were then filled with people that hadn't done overly much right before they got them. So they were rewarded for something they had done ages ago, which, by "modern" standards might not even have been much. Meanwhile, hard working individuals whose activities really helped the club, stayed Sub-Lieutenants for years...

I like the PoJ position and hope 1 day i can serve there...

it may have a smaller need then that of other offices, but it still has a reason for existance.

No it doesn't, that is the whole point.

It was just created because somebody in the GE decided that he didn't want to be in the reserves.
