1st Brigade History â€“ Fiction Competition

Host: MAJ James Longstreet

Jury: ALC Foley, MAJ James Longstreet

System: -The competition will be based on different chapters in the Brigade's History

-Each member of the GE may give one submission per chapter.

-Each submissin must contain 2-4 pages to be accepted.

-Only one submission per chapter will win.

Rewards: -Having your chapter submission will recieve a [IVM-BB], one for every winning submission.

-Members with the most winning submissions will recieve a [IVM-SB]
or a [IVM-GB]

-[IVM-BB] or [IVM-SB] will be given to those with the most
submissions

-Other awards will be given to those with good participation.

Deadline: The fiction is now open and will be closed on the 15th of August

-Some time will be needed for juding.

Chapters: # 1: Commision of the Brigade as first Army unit

# 2: Absortion of remaining Legion

# 3: VA Fel is made first CO of 1st Brigade

# ALC Mitchell's promotion to XO

# ALC Mitchell is moved out as 2nd Brigade CO

# VA Fel's promotion to MAA

# 4: BRG Branet's taking command as CO

# 5: MAJ Longstreet's promotion to XO

# 6: BRG Branet's promotion to MAA

# 7: ALC Foley's taking command as CO

(Note: Though ranks are shown, they are current ranks and
don't indict what the person's rank was at time in history.)

Fiction Rules: -The 1st Brigade is a unit commisioned in the GE:ER. So no
history about it in the canonical Empire!

-Information about itÂ´s commision can be given by Generals
Jansen, Branet, ALC (Ret.) Mitchell and Vice Admiral Fel!

-Use every source for information you get!

-DonÂ´t mention yourself if you werenÂ´t present in this time!

-Be careful what you let other people do in your fiction!

-Write a standard paper between 8 & 12!

-Stay on the topic that is related to the chapters!

-Must contain good spelling and grammar!

-No personel attacks on others, no foul language unless used in
quotation, or no made up or unrelated history will be allowed.

-This will become an official historical document on 1st
Brigade's history, so make it official and good when writing it.

If you brake any of the mentioned rules the Jury will inform you of this, so you can write the chapter again and arenÂ´t disqualified!

Greetings.
This is an excellent opportunity to know something of our Brigade and to create a History (ficcional) of the Imperial Army. Any information that you need, can request it to the MAJ Longstreet and me when you consider it necessary. Also I am sure that GEN Jansen and MGN JaggedFel will be happy to them help in the creation of these fictions.

Also... this would probably go under the Exhibit or About page for the 1st Brigade website. Since both of those sections are pretty sparse... I recommend participation in this competition!

My dear Brigade,

sorry for beeing so late and didnÂ´t reply within my own deadline, but my internet had some difficulties within the last days so my time was more then limited.

IÂ´m sad to say that the number, neither the number of participiants nor the number of submissions, reached the numbers I expected.

To be true itÂ´s pretty low, so I think I canÂ´t make any decision till now.

So I herein set a new deadline to the 30.4., and hope that till that IÂ´ll have some more of you participating.

This competition is for the 1st Brigade, and only the actual members of it are allowed to participate.

I must sadly say that due to low participation I canÂ´t rate this competition.

So I decided to close it for some time. Within this time IÂ´ll work on new chapters and other edits, as well as thinking of a spreading of participation
area.

Greetings, members of the 1st Brigade.

To help all those to be interested in taking part in this important competition, next I will give them some directions so that they could obtain information.

These are the e-mails of the first group created for the Imperial army. They are e-mails of the beginning of our division, and in them they can find interesting information of the beginnings of the Imperial Army.

Also, another source of information are the reports of our GEN Jansen, where the evolution of the division can be observed.

This is another place where to seek information. The first messages of the MB relating to the old Legion and the starts of the Imperial Army.

Finally, you have all the freedom of rising questions to his own commanders, as well as to the GEN Jansen, VA JaggedFel and I. Do specific questions, and we will always be ready to answer them.

The 1st Brigade History Competition is now open to all GE members and the deadline has been extended to the 15th of Augest. All rules still apply but now anyone may submit a writing.
