Imperial Royal Guard Report - 30th July 2006
=News=
Aside from the last Guard Games, there isn't much to report - just the promotion of Guardsman Jagged Fel to the Second Echelon and the induction of Hel-Pa Sklib as a Tyro. Congrulations and welcome!
=Royal Guard Status=
It is good to see the high activity on the Combat Ladders, mostly by members of the Guard. In fact, the top seven of the Jedi Outcast ladder are all members of the Royal Guard. Good work!

An IVM is up for grabs by the most active Guardsman each month. Activity which qualifies for this is as follows:
-Numbers of matches played on the ladders per month(includes all platforms, not just JO and JA).
-Number of multiplayer competitions participated in(ie, ICTE and any other organised interclub competitions).
-Participation in other GE-wide competitions.

This competition ends on the 8th of August, which leaves non-participants just over a week to become participants. Since JO and JA are part of this competitions and all of you have the former with a few owning the latter as well, there's no excuse for not getting a submission in.
=Orders and Comments=
There has been extensive activity on the JO ladder, which is an understatement. It looks like we've all gone JO-mad, playing over 300 matches in a single month! This has been dominated by three people(out of thirteen), who have been half of over two hundred of the matches. I want to see more Guardsmen playing. Remember that each ladder win contributes to your standing on the Expert Combatant list, which is currently filled with no-good lousy and lazy Reserves.
As for interclub competitions, I'm aware that ICTE is cancelled until the end of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's Great Jedi War, so there isn't much opportunity to rack up those pins for your Imperial Stars. However, when it does come back, I hope to see high participation in it.
Do remember that I'm happy to consider anybody for membership in the Imperial Royal Guard. If you believe someone(including yourself, if you're not in the Guard) is worthy of the Guard, then speak to me.

=News=
This is just a midmonthly report to do three things. Firstly, the ICTE is back on and I want to see every Guardsman getting a few matches in, as it's been over a month since the last one. Secondly, I'll give the current GotM standings. Thirdly, promotions. Guardsman of the Fourth Echelon Bane moves to the Third Echelon and Tyro Sklib has proven his worth to become a Guardsman of the Fourth Echelon. Congrulations to both of them.
=Royal Guard Status=
The combat ladders are seeing unprecedented activity, especially on the Jedi Outcast ladder. The amount of matches is nothing short of atonishing. At the time this report was written, 487 matches had been played. It has been 43 days since the ladders opened for this round, so that's just over ten matches a day. However, that's not all. Thanks to the new point system, two players have broke the 1000 points barrier and one of them went on to break the 1500 points barrier as well. I expect by the end of September, we'll have broken the 2000, 2500 and 3000 points barriers as well. Excellent work!

=News=
Guardsman of the Third Echelon Foley has voluntarily left the Royal Guard, as he will not be able to access multiplayer for a while. As such, this leaves a Lieutenant of the Guard(the Burseg) spot open. If anyone wishes to hold this position, contact me within two weeks.
=Royal Guard Status=
Activity is dropping evenly, due to the end of the summer for most people. Five members of the Guard continue to be active at some level or other, though. I would prefer that EVERYONE be active. It has been a whole month, after all...

I'm quite pleased with the Guardsmen also in Demon Company - they're outstandingly active people!
The ICTE is also on today. Go get a few matches in if you can!

Imperial Royal Guard Report - 1st October 2006
=News=
Last month, I reported that G3E Foley had left the Guard. The replacement Burseg is none other than G3E Fel. Additionally, though, I have some other changes as well. Guardsman Sklib is now promoted to the Third Echelon and Guardsman Weogi is demoted to Initate.
In the Empire, the combat ladders have now reset, with two new ladders - BF2 and EaW Campaign. Some of the rules have also been revised, so make sure to check them before you begin playing again!
=Royal Guard Status=
Well, this month was a little better than the last, with many more ICTE participations. 14 total, compared to six in August! Ladder activity seems to have fallen off, though. Don't forget that you can report ICTE matches for the ladders if played against a fellow member.

It looks like the Captain of the Guard takes quite a clear round. However, I've looked at the number of matches played for the ICTEs as well and the most active Guardsman is Jagged Fel. Unfortunately, around 20 matches just isn't quite enough for me to dish out an IVM. I'm looking for something at least twice that!

"A Guardsman must participate in nearly every event, or risk expulsion from the Guard." - The RG site.
While that's not entirely accurate, I do demand participation in something or other at least once every two weeks. Failure to do so will result in demotions until you reach the rank of Tyro, at which point you're out. As the ladders have been reset, I want to see participation. I want to see it throughout the round.
I may be planning the Third Guard Games for December. Whether or not it proceeds will depend on the activity of the Guard in October and November.

Last month, I reported that G3E Foley had left the Guard. The replacement Burseg is none other than G3E Fel. Additionally, though, I have some other changes as well. Guardsman Sklib is now promoted to the Third Echelon and Guardsman Weogi is demoted to Initate.
In the Empire, the combat ladders have now reset, with two new ladders - BF2 and EaW Campaign. Some of the rules have also been revised, so make sure to check them before you begin playing again!
=Royal Guard Status=
Well, this month was a little better than the last, with many more ICTE participations. 14 total, compared to six in August! Ladder activity seems to have fallen off, though. Don't forget that you can report ICTE matches for the ladders if played against a fellow member.

-Numbers of matches played on the ladders per month(including all platforms, not just JO and JA).
-Number of multiplayer competitions participated in(ie, ICTE and any other organised interclub competitions).
-Participation in other GE-wide competitions.

=News=
Fleet Admiral Polanski has stepped down as Supreme Commander, leading to Admiral Fel being promoted. Sadly, this means that the Burseg cannot remain with the Royal Guard and so we bid him farewell. This, combined with Guardsman Pressor being AWOLed, forces me to close Sardaukar Guard. The Royal Guard now consists of the Praetorian Guard, under the newly-elevated Guardsman of the First Echelon Jagged Fel!

Activity has fallen, membership has fallen. It looks like the Third Guard Games will not be held in December, but I will continue working on it as time permits.
