New Roster Format to Avoid Spam

I was just saying, generating a picture for it eliminates spam altogether, as I've never gotten spam as a result of that. I'm not saying it's a problem, as g-mail filters really well (hey, it called Fel spam

), I was just looking for a way to avoid this easily. If it doesn't seem feasible, I suppose there is no point.

Just use Thunderbird, as Vort suggests. It really is a great program, and the spam filter there is wonderful...

Vort: Are there any stories/URLs that talk about those methods to get around CAPTCHA ?

What do you mean? I can guarantee that it's true, because it's the only way to register spam-users on IS.Net - and it's happening.
Otherwise, search for CAPTCHA on Google and Wikipedia and it will tell ya a few things, about how they now use cheap labor to get around the really nasty CAPTCHAs.

Bah, I SAID my spam filter *IS* wonderful. I just want to limit the spam I GET in the first place...

Many people want that, the problem is that it does not matter how you display your email online. Fact is that once you do, you WILL get spam.

You don't even need to display an e-mail address anywhere for it to get some spam, although it may of course increase the amount a good bit.

However they also send a lot of spam to randomly generated addresses to see if they hit. I've had addresses I've hardly ever used and never displayed it anywhere flooded with spam in the past.

Aye, my Gmail account is like that. I get lots of spam. Never used it for anything, except for buying tickets from Air Canada (and they spam me with their BS but that's different)
