GE Galactic Location and status?

Post by Marcus Darkstar »

I have one question to ask and before anyone askes yes I have looked at the imperial star map and one question comes to mind. I know were in the outer Rim but where Galactically speaking are our system of planets? Near korriban ( i think its outer rim), Byss? uhh hmm
Ive been looking at them in order to figure out our galactic situation and would love to know who control what major planets. Knowlage of the galaxy for the Galactic Empire Reborn would be great for me.. ( also i "assume" were just one of the many imperial splinter factions ? how far in SW lore does GER go only until Endor and Thawn what other events after that are considered "real" to the GER?)

Im mainly asking these question in order for a better understanding when someday hopefully get the chance to write a roleplaying fiction while in the GER.

"rubs his eyes" Thank you General Jansen but as i already said i checked the Imperial star maps ( sorry i suppose i was vague) already and im saying Truely Galactic status for example what planets do rebels control and where do our systems of planet reside in a Galactic perspective ( like could be pointed out in this map http://www.starwarss.com/ or something else?).

I know its 5 years after Endor or so but theres a plethera of info and events after Endor that i want to know GER recongizes I know we accept Thawns bunch of comics as SW history but what others ?

We're in the Elrood sector. Sort of 'southwest,' looking at the maps as they're usually oriented. On that map, look for it on the Rimma Trade Route.

However, I am obliged to make sure you're aware that SuperShadow is full of the excrement of grazing animals. Don't believe anything you read on his site. I think that map's okay, but he might have edited it. Elrood is in the right place, as far as I know.

And it's 9 years after Endor now. :)

I know last one is double but still good.. The First one seems more detailed but it seems a little outdated no kamino on it. It has more info but its kinda hard to read

Star Wars Insider released a fantastic map around the release of Star Wars Galaxies, I have mine framed :D

Oh, and I was wondering what exactly were we bothering with geonosis for if the only planets we now control are in such a small, out of the way sector, would it not have been more tactically sound to conquer the systems surrounding the Elrood sector?

To answer your question: Geonosis is worth more than those other planets. Useless balls of rock/mud/ice. :P

Some planets happen to be more than "just" chunks of rock, which I think is Colonel Burton's point.

Whether they have important resources, occupy a key strategic position, the birthplace of the human race, etc....
