GBG Problem

Post by Davin Felth »

I've been having a big problem with my Galactic Battlegrounds Saga for a long time now. I'll start at the beginning: One day when all was right in the world, I wanted to remove GBG (can't remember the reason) I naturally clicked the "uninstall" button under my Start Menu. It said it uninstalled sucessfully and was deleted off of the Menu. Months later I wanted to re-install it, yet, when I tried it asked me something along the lines of "Do you want to completely remove Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds?" I was stunned, because I thought I'd removed it a long time ago! So I clicked yes, then tested it again. It asked me if I wanted to again remove it. I was very mad. I went into my Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and found the game under the list of applications. So I clicked remove and all the GBG icon did was flash. I'm REALLY ticked off at this point, so I went into regedit and deleted the whole LucasArts folder, but 1 thing still remains. It says it has "no value" and cannot be deleted. Can anyone tell me, if possible, how to REALLY get rid of GBG so I can re-install it?
Also I apologize if this topic does not belong here.

Moved to the Imperial Gaming Forum...

If you've removed the game folder and removed all registry keys for GB then you should be able to reinstall it. However you probably need to clean up the add/remove programs list. Try CCleaner.
