- A long-time officer has returned from the Reserves! Line Captain Calder has taken command of the Striker and will be overseeing the Frigates of System Force 2. For those who do not know it, CL Calder was a Captain of the ISD Chimaera and our SFO in a long time before going on to the reserves. Welcome back, Captain!
- LCL Munro Burton has opened the applications for Dauntless CO for the whole GEER. If you like the games of strategy and also you wants to have under his command one company of the Imperial Army, this is his your opportunity. Send his application TO LCL Munro Burton as soon as possible!

- The High Command has sent a memo to all the members of the GEER reminding to them that they must be brought at least 1 time every 10 days his top officials. Not fullfil with this duty will mean to be sent to the reserves.
- The Return of the Imperial Combat Cross...! (FA Fel) In consultation with General Jansen and
the directors of the Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE), I have seen fit to re-instate the
now-deprecated Imperial Combat Cross [ICC] for use in the ICTE events. Rewards for ICTE & Similar Competitions now works as follows:
Any participation earns you a pin towards your Imperial Star.
Finishing third place or higher overall (as reflected on the scoresheet produced by the ICTE
host) will earn you the Imperial Combat Cross.
Thus, by finishing 3rd or higher, you receive *both* the ICC and a pin for your Imperial Star.

Outer Rim War III Begins...!
Officers of the Empire:
I hope you are prepared to do battle on behalf of the Empire in the Outer Rim War III: The Subterrel Conflict...!
The Subterrel Conflict is the third multi-club, multi-platform event to bear the name "Outer Rim War." Starting on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of February, ORW3 will take place every weekend starting at 9am EST on Saturday and ending at 12am EST on Sunday, in the Undernet IRC channel #Outerrim. Games supported include Empire at War, Battlefront 1 and 2, Republic Commando, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, XvT and XWA.
Leading our troops in this battle are none other than Commander Steel < ge_steel@freenet.de > (Navy) and Colonel Burton < munro.burton@gmail.com > (Army). If you are interested in joining the fight, please contact them as soon as possible!

Winter 2007 Ladders Open!
The Winter Ladders have been open for participation since January 1!
The winter set of ladders is open until 31 March, 2007 - another three full months.
Debuting this round is the Empire at War expansion pack, Forces of Corruption, as a separate ladder... In this fashion, both the EaW and FoC ladders are open and are not exclusive... Thus, if you wish to only play FoC-enabled games, you need not also sign up for the regular EaW Ladder.

Empire at War Map Creation Challenge!
(AD Fel) Following the release some months ago of the Empire at War Map Editor from Lucasarts/Petroglyph, it is now high time to announce a competition for the creation of a high quality mission...!
The rules of this challenge are simple: Be the first to turn in a high-quality Empire at War mission to VA Jagged Fel. If you do so, you will receive not only the Medal of Tactics afforded to all mission creators, but you will also be the first to create an Empire at War single-player scenario for the combat chamber. And, of course, you will be rewarded with a medal for your initiative... You will receive a Bronze Seal!
