Changing of the Senior Fleet Officer!

Officers of the Empire:

It is my duty to inform you that Line Captain La Forge has elected to step down from the position of Senior Fleet Officer, and has chosen to accept the position of first officer of the Victory Star Destroyer Striker, serving under his former superior, Line Captain Calder.

Following the resignation of Line Captain La Forge from the position of Senior Fleet Officer, I have undertaken a personal search to identify the officer most deserving of the promotion to the position of Senior Fleet Officer - and it is my pleasure to announce that I have found the right person for the job!

I hereby promote...

CP Laithlis / Prefect / / Imperial Academy
...to...
CL Laithlis / SCS-CO / ISD Chimaera / Imperial Navy

... and confer upon him the privileges and duties of the Senior Fleet Officer.

The Senior Fleet Officer is one of the closest-serving officers to the Supreme Commander... A figurehead of the Imperial Fleet, he commands the ISD Chimaera: flagship of the Supreme Commander and the entire Galactic Empire. The SFO may also serve as an assistant to the Commander of the Navy in overseeing division operations.

Please extend to him your congratulations!

In related news, as announced at the meeting, Wing Commander Muscat will be stepping down on 1 June, so Captain Laithlis is presently in need of a first officer! I am certain you will be hearing from him soon on the details.

It should also be noted that having spoken with Vice Admiral Zwibble, the position of Prefect will no longer be available. At present the Vice Admiral is able to handle the relevant paperwork herself, and so the prefect position is no longer necessary.

But yeah, have fun over there, Laith. Take care of my ship. If I find ONE scratch on the hull I didn't put there myself (they're all been recorded in my extensive cataloge

Thank you all for your congratulations! I will do my best to live up to everybody's expectations as the SFO, although I expect to have a bit of a rocky start with a lot of real life hassle in the next couple of weeks. Also, as many of you probably know, I am currently attending the GERLM 2,5 in Germany with several other GE:ER members, and for the duration of the meeting we are all working at reduced activity level.

Regarding the subject of finding a replacement for Muscat after he transfers to the reserves, keep your eyes and ears open - you should hear about it sometime next week.

Once again, thank you all. Being made the Senior Fleet Officer and the captain of the flagship is a great honour, one I never expected to get, and I wish to prove myself worth the trust the Empire most apparently has in me.

Calder and La Forge together again.
Both were LT of my dear and remembered Gamma Squadron, First officials and then Captains of the ISD Chimaera, Senior Fleet Officers.... what other things more will they continue doing together?
