Have you tried compatability mode?
Right click, go to properties , advanced, run as windows 95/ whatever depending on the version?

Thats what i was thinking but first, the game will not even install, I put the cd in it comes up with a DOS popup box says loading then it minimizes and gose to a black screen...that all...so i can load it in. If i can get that then i could get it to work.
