<VA_JagFel> To preface the news, I wish to apologize for my absence at this meeting. At present, Captain Laithlis and I are engaged in operations and as such I am unable to attend. As such, I have delivered by meeting announcements to VA Jagged Fel to present to you today...
<VA_JagFel> 1) Summer Ladders Open
<VA_JagFel> As promised at the last meeting, the summer ladders were opened in July, and the medals from the last round of ladders were given out. I hope to see many of you playing in the ladders in the near future. Remember, this round goes until 30 September.
<VA_JagFel> 2) ICTE Returns Today
<VA_JagFel> In the past few weeks, the Inter-Club Training Event (ICTE) has not been running since the Dark Brotherhood has been conducting their Grand Jedi War. However, by my special request, the ICTE has been restarted this weekend.
<VA_JagFel> I expect that many of you will participate and do the GE Proud... :-)
<VA_JagFel> As always, it takes place in #outerrim (to join, type /join #outerrim) and you should consider going once the meeting is finished!
<VA_JagFel> 3) Imperial Holosite Updates
<VA_JagFel> Admiral Polanski continues to work hard on the new version of the EmpireReborn.net domain, but it is not quite ready yet... With luck, however, it will be ready soon!
<VA_JagFel> 4) G3RLM
<VA_JagFel> As mentioned many times before, the G3RLM takes place in just about three weeks. The very final details of it are being worked out, primarily by System Governor Vortagh, and we are just about ready to go.
<VA_JagFel> No doubt, we will have lots to talk about regarding the G3RLM at the next meeting!
<VA_JagFel> 5) EaW Map Competition
<VA_JagFel> The Empire at War map competition has been running an inordinately long time nowand nobody has produced a map of suitable quality for inclusion in the combat chamber. As such, I am strongly considering shutting down the challenge (which awards a Silver Seal), but if any officer has a map in progress that is likely to succeed at the competition, please let me know and I will allow the contest to continue.
<VA_JagFel> It is unfortunate that we have had such trouble with the Empire at War map editor, and it was the hope of Imperial High Command that we would be able to produce some high quality simulations for it...
<VA_JagFel> 6) Imperial Collaborative Fiction Competition
<VA_JagFel> As a new venture to attempt for the next little while, I am introducing the Imperial Collaborative Fiction Competition. The premise is pretty simple. I've written the first part of the story. Now you write the following parts.
<VA_JagFel> What will happen is that each week I will select the best submission and add it to the end of the story, and then everyone uses that as a base to continue from in their future parts.
<VA_JagFel> To submit your part, you should post it on the GE Messageboards (index.php ) in the soon-to-be-released forum for Imperial Collaborative Fiction... :-)

<COL_Burton> 1) The First Gun Competition has ended with regrettably low participation. ALT Jim won the trivia and SSG Tovakinpi is the victor of both the Battles of Endor and Yavin. Therefore, I am announcing that Tovakinpi is now the Colonel's First Gun until the next competition!

<COL_Burton> 1) Firstly, I would like to address something that concerns me a bit: The Combat Ladders. As of this meeting, there has been no matches reported/confirmed yet, which surprises me since they reset a month ago. For some, the summer break is soon to end, so please sign up and play while you've got plenty of time left!
<COL_Burton> 2) And now, the results from the Fourth Guard Games. They are disappointing, with a general lack of participation, even from those who signed up. Those who *did* participate are being rewarded, keep an eye on the Awards & Promotions page.
<COL_Burton> 3) Changes in the Guard: Initate Erinos and Guardsman of the Second Sklib have both been demoted to Tyro and the Third Echelon, respectively.
<COL_Burton> 4) Initate Karel has been promoted to Guardsman of the Fourth Echelon.
