1. New Gaming Platforms added to the Galactic Empire!
As you are reading this, the High Command have been working hard to get all the necessary structure in place so that two new Divisions can be activated
allowing a total of 4 new platforms into the Empire. combined with the recent addition of Jedi Academy, we will now have 10 gaming platforms supported.
Details follow in other news headings below.

2. Star Wars Galaxies added to the Civil Sector!
Now 'civilians' can also join the Empire's Civil Sector; a Division created for the SWG platform. As this is a very new idea for our club, and so there is
not much documentation available. The academy has the joining requirements, although these are simply that you meet a member of the GE in SWG,
and then this gets reported back to the Commandant. You'll then be placed on the main GE rosters. Note that for this division, your email does not
have to be unique should you wish to be both in the Civil Sector and other military divisions. Your profiles will of course, be separate.It is encouraged
that all those with SWG sign up to the GE Civil Sector. The aim is that our resources can be pulled together to help our SWG as much as possible.

SWG to mention this there so what we can work on making the Sector more useful, regardless if you decided to make a profile or not.

3. Imperial Army in the works!
Further to the above, work has started to get the Imperial Army division off the ground (so to speak). Supporting Galactic Battlegrounds,
Force Commander and, eventually, Battle Front, this promises to be a great and active division. Keep your eyes out for further announcements as they
arrive, a little more work is required before this division is proclaimed "Active".

4. Legion Ranks overhauled!
The Legion has seperated its ranks into commissioned and non-commissioned officers. While staying with the original ranks the Legion used
previously, these have become the non-commissioned ranks for anyone holding the position of stormtrooper. The commissioned ranks are given
to those in command positions, from Detachment Commander to Legion Commander. In addtion, the position of Battalion Executive has been
added, which will oversee the command of several regiments when the time comes. These ranks are just a small part of the plan to increase
activity within the Stormtrooper Legion. For details of the ranks, and to discuss them (either pro or con) please visit

In line with the new rank system. BRG Orzon has taken the rank of Major General to become MGN Orzon. New Rank Indicator plaques
have been produced on the domain as well for the officers to use. Please update accordingly.

5. Academy News - Prefect Open for Applicants, and New Exams added
The academy is currently doing quite well under the new Empire. We have about 15 or so cadets currently in training, and we've seen a
couple graduate already. We've also added a few more exams to the current selection: The Squadron Leadership Exam is the main one,
a pass is required to become promoted to Lieutenant. Please the academy site (http://academy.empirereborn.net) for details of the other
courses. Note the ICC is *only* available to those profiles related to the Civil Sector. We hope that certificates on a greater number of topics can
added in the future. Check the Staff Handbook if you're interested in writing a course.
The academy is also looking for a Prefect. Check the description and required work in the handbook, and if your interested, then please email
Admiral Jansen at commandant@empirereborn.net.

6. Recruiting Drive still on!
The recrutiing drive is still on, and will run until the end of May. Recruit officers for extra medal rewards. They can be recruited into any division,
so direct them to http://www.empirereborn.net/join.php as soon as possible.

7. Site Updates
Work continues on the Empirereborn.net domain. Recently added were support for certificates (although the data has not been transferred
from the Nexus yet) and shorly the Combat Chamber will appear. I also have plans to add the ladder system as soon as possible, followed by the
FPR processor. Many other things are also in the works. Please be patient, I'm only one person and I have RL exams coming up. The whole
HC is working as hard as possible. Administration will come online partially for filing FPRs once that has been coded; until then and for
all other details, please contact your Division Commander (Navy: Fleet Commander or myself).

8. IRC X Channel Service
For those who visit IRC (for details, please see old page at http://www.imperialnexus.net/irc.php) we have registered again for the "X Channel
service bot" which will protect and hold our channel for us. We've been without this roughly since February. All officers are encouraged to
visit IRC, and we will begin having meetings again on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month shortly (probably from June). Being present is
a great way to get noticed and an easy way to meet other GEers.
