Introduction

Okay, so maybe I didn't get it out on the same day as the meeting, oops. I blame that Real Life thing... Lots has happened since the last report, which was 3 months ago or so. We've had a net gain of officers since the last report, albeit not by much. As usual the Frigates are seeing constant roster activity, both with new recuits and those leaving for the Reserves while the squadrons remain pretty much constant. If you know someone who flies any of the X-wing series games, please, for the love of the Emperor recruit them.
Final preparations are being made for G3RLM, where many of the cool people are going to get together and... do stuff. I'm sure at least one of us will write of our exploits, but until then, some report content.

-CL La Forge has stepped down from SFO due to RL constraints
-CM Laithlis has been promoted out of the Academy and back into the Navy as Line Captain and Senior Fleet Officer!
-Lord Syrtaras has come back from the Reserves (again), this time to assume the position of Procurator of Justice
-Ensign Bramall has been tried and convicted on 47 counts of False Statements, due to using clones to illegally inflate his score on the Ladders. He is currently serving a six month Incarceration period, in which *all* contact with the GE is banned. Anyone that has contact with him, or his clones (Viper and Warl) are to report to both myself (or Branet if you're a grunt
) and Fleet Admiral Fel. Whether it's on the Ladders, or with FPRs; if you're cheating we WILL find you.-Congratulations to CL Mar, for being named All-Star at the June 2nd ICTE!

Ew*k of the Month
==========
Every report will will also feature one whose exploits are... less than ideal. The ew*k itself is an endangered species, thanks to the carelessness of the Rebels. Those that know me are aware of the cages I keep in the IDMR laboratories, the contents of which are used for testing or sometimes target practice. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the type of people that earn the Ew*k of the Month "award" are plentiful, so even if the little buggers no longer fill my cages, there will always been a bountiful supply of officers as substitutes.
Ensign Bramall/Viper/Warl! Come on guys. Two clones in the same division? Playing a *lot* of matches between them on the Ladders? Yeah, *that's* not suspicious. But I suppose I could be thanking you, since you brought on anti-cheat measures to the Ladders, so we can find you faster next time
This is the second time we've had to bring down the Emporor's Court on a cheater, and I expect the lot of you to be smarter than that.

I just wrapped up final exams and moving back home for a couple weeks, hence why lately I've been mostly silent and didn't get the report out. Multiple projects that needed to be done in the last week kept me busy. After that, did the NY to FL drive again, this time without stopping for the night. I think it turned out to be one of my shorter drives as well. I still don't know where I'll be moving to in a couple weeks when my co-op starts again, I'll either be back in Baltimore or at the Pennsylvania office. Not as long as a drive, but that means I have to pack my car again and find an apartment at the last minute. But before I do that, I'll be wandering over to Germany for a week

1. Be in contact
There are loads of ways to be in contact, and e-mail is just one of them. Many officers are available on AOL Instant Messenger, and some even on MSN Messenger, both of which are free downloads. Xfire is gaining popularity after being adopted by the Empire, so that is another official method of contact. If you do use Xfire, please post your screen name into the Xfire thread on the Message Boards so you can be invited to the GE's Xfire clan, or contact an existing member. Some people are also on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) all the time (myself included), so please do come by! #galactic_empire on the Undernet network. We're friendly (as long as you're well behaved) and would be very glad to have you join us.
2. Recruit
The Empire is always in need of new officers, so if you know somebody who'd like to join, or if you just want to go out on IRC, the MSN Gaming Zone, or even public servers and find people, that's very much encouraged. If you can find a way to lure someone in, do it! And if you can't find a way, there are chemicals that make coercion easier. There's potentially medals involved!
3. Fly
I'd really like to see lots of people flying, whether on the ladders, single player, ICTE, anything. It doesn't have to take much time, it's a lot of fun, and can be very effective. There's quite a bit of activity on the EaW ladders, at not a whole lot coming from the XvT and XWA pilots recently. Get moving!
4. Have Fun!
That's the most important part of the whole thing. This is why we're here. The most fun can be found in point 3.
5. Fly some more
Seriously, fly a lot. It's fun, you get to blow stuff up. And it makes you look good

Lots of medals, lots of certs and exams, lots of new cadets, and even a pair of promotions. Fall is starting, which means many of you are going back to school. I want to see more activity, and less homework
Let's see if we can make those award lists just as long for the next report, even better if I can remember to put this out in a shorter timeframe. Keep recruiting, keep active, keep having fun!
