Minor MB Updates Complete

Today I have upgraded the GE messageboard software to the newest version of the CBACK/ORION Messageboard Software.

Highly prominent in the new features is a better security system - the next version of the CrackerTracker system. Maybe this will keep the spambots down at least a little... Yeah right. :P

Yeah... and does this upgrade make the CAPTCHA image easier to read?

I don't know that, but what I do know is that I found the code string in the files that creates the captcha and thus could take out at least the numbers. Then at least one does not have to worry about figuring out if that symbol is an O or a 0.

Other than that - how come you guys constantly get to see the captcha anyways?
I never EVER saw that thing and the only way I know it will show up is either you changing your email or you screwing up your login/pass.

For me it's screwing up the password if I'm distracted - and it does it straight after first time!

No, making the CAPTCHA easier was something different and not related to this upgrade.

Another minor update completed. We are once again at the newest version of the CBACK/ORION Software.

More updates have been applied - taking us up to the 2.4.5 version of CBACK/ORION 2.

It is also noteworthy that the Imperialsquadrons.net boards were compromised by a malicious attacker - I was able to restore everything from backups and put everything back in order really easily.

IS.net was updated earlier by Governor Vortagh and should be in order.
