Introduction
==========

Well, it's been another six months. I guess that means I should probably send out another Report. One of these days i'll get around to remembering to actually publish this more often, since I update it continuously. But if I did that, Vort would have to find new reasons to call me VL :P

OuterSectors was a resounding success, with 450 FPRs being submitted in that timeframe, over half of those being submitted by first and second place. It's nice to see that much activity, especially from a newer officer. In time we may do this again, so keep an eye out!

I could keep making stuff to talk about, or cut to the chase. Here's (hopefully) everything that's happened in the last 6 months.

After EN Darius was promoted to SL, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant!

News
==========

CL Laithlis has stepped down as SFO and transferred to the Reserves.
LC Drazhar has been chosen as CL Laithlis' replacement as SFO.
The Frigates have been closed and all EaW personnel moved to Bridge Crews aboard the Nemesis and Chimaera.
Following the move Forn Bridge Crew was closed, with officers being transferred to Aurek and Zerek.
LC Hazledine has resigned as Zerek Leader due to RL constraints and been replaced with now-LT Fewrfreyut.
OS II has come and gone, congrats to SL Khadgar for his impressive victory and to LC Antillies for chasing him much of the way.

This report's mention goes to EF Khadgar, who in only a few months after joining has already earned several stripes for his Medal of Combat! There's nothing like see almost 20 FPRs processed at the same time to flood my inbox rather frequently :)

Ew*k of the [Enter other extremely long period of time here]
==========

Every report will will also feature one whose exploits are... less than ideal. The ew*k itself is an endangered species, thanks to the carelessness of the Rebels. Those that know me are aware of the cages I keep in the IDMR laboratories, the contents of which are used for testing or sometimes target practice. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the type of people that earn the Ew*k of the Month "award" are plentiful, so even if the little buggers no longer fill my cages, there will always been a bountiful supply of officers as substitutes.

Personal Section
==========

The other reason for me getting this out now is that Thursday I head back up to school, although I won't be situated until Sunday. This should be my last year of classes, after that there's only a three-month period of co-op in my way of my degree. But while I'm there I'll be on the RIT network, which means awesome internet speeds and not having to putz around on DSL.

Getting quite a bit of coding done, both on the site and IDMR work, as well as a side project that's IRC-based. Keeps me occupied, especially here at home.

Standing Orders
==========

1. Be in contact

There are loads of ways to be in contact, and e-mail is just one of them. Many officers are available on AOL Instant Messenger, and some even on MSN Messenger, both of which are free downloads. Xfire is gaining popularity after being adopted by the Empire, so that is another official method of contact. If you do use Xfire, please post your screen name into the Xfire thread on the Message Boards so you can be invited to the GE's Xfire group, or contact an existing member. Some people are also on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) all the time (myself included), so please do come by! #galactic_empire on the Undernet network. We're friendly (as long as you're well behaved) and would be very glad to have you join us.

2. Recruit

The Empire is always in need of new officers, so if you know somebody who'd like to join, or if you just want to go out on IRC, the MSN Gaming Zone, or even public servers and find people, that's very much encouraged. If you can find a way to lure someone in, do it! And if you can't find a way, there are chemicals that make coercion easier. There's potentially medals involved!

3. Fly

I'd really like to see lots of people flying, whether on the ladders, single player, ICTE, anything. It doesn't have to take much time, it's a lot of fun, and can be very effective. There's quite a bit of activity on the EaW ladders, at not a whole lot coming from the XvT and XWA pilots recently. Get moving!

4. Have Fun!

That's the most important part of the whole thing. This is why we're here. The most fun can be found in point 3.

5. Fly some more

Seriously, fly a lot. It's fun, you get to blow stuff up. And nothing gets you noticed like a flooded inbox of FPRs ;-)
