Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne NOTD AM SW Troopers

blizzard has come out with mod for Frozen thrones Night Of The Dead AfterMath it is a STAR WARS mod named NOTDTM or night of the dead troopers mod. i have recently played it and it isnt too terribly great but for blizzards attempt i give them a 7 out of 10. i give the game a 3 out of 10. the other problem with thee mod is it auto deletes files like bttlefront 2( due to the increse in hackers). i had BFII copyed from the disk for my laptop that has no disk drives (dont ask) and when i installed the mod and went to play BFII it wasnt there. but its out there for those of you that have to have it. i wont give the site to you cause i deleted my history an hour ago so ya.

The thing about Blizzard is that they've never made a crappy game. Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo have all been awesome, and each one in the series just gets better and better. They scrap games before they put out a substandard product. Too bad more companies aren't like that.

Starcraft II looks like it will rock, and Diablo III is looking pretty sweet too. I have loved Warcraft since I played the first one way back when on my mother's 486, but I refuse to buy any of the World of Warcraft games because I am under no false pretenses at what it would do to my life...I have the willpower to not buy the game in the first place. I don't think I have the willpower to not play it for 22 hours a day.

yeah, WoW is very bad for that, take it from someone who's been there, done that :P

As you said, every game Blizzard has ever made has been incredible. Starcraft especially. People play Starcraft as much as they did when it first came out.

Calder: I honestly have to say, that I couldn't disagree more with you.

Starcraft is a game, that - to this day - I cannot see what people liked about. The gameplay is, of all the "strategy" games I have played, total crap and story, cutscenes and what I call "fun part" (the unit voices, jokes, etc) do not succeed in making this game any less uninteresting. It simply can not reach the awesomeness of Warcraft.

Diablo was ... well, I played it once and that was it. It was the first game that I only played once, because the only difference in the game were the stats of weapons you found, and the dungeon changing layout. That's it. The rest of the game stayed the exact same: clickclickclickclickclickclickclick until you beat Diablo. Done.
Diablo II then actually added a continuing story to the game and that's what got me interested again, but the game was basically the first part of World of Warcraft: Adding story to a world of statistics-grind and collecting alltogether useless crap (like slots on weapons, all the bloody gems and so on). And in the end, it was still just clickclickclickclickclickclickclick - with a bit more story and outside areas. BOOORING.

This isn't even a "personal dislikes" thing. I love the genres these games are set in. I love fantasy and I love sci fi. It's just that these games just utterly fail at being anything but totally boring game concepts paired with a tiny TINY icing of storyline, respective a sci-fi version of warcraft that can't reach the awesomeness of Warcraft.

In the end, I think that the only good games from Blizzard were the Warcraft series & the Lost Vikings (now THAT was a funny game) and Blackthorne.
Blizzard has always tried to create funny games, but ... some of these just don't cut it. Except for Blackthorne, that was an evil and brutal game. :P

Seriously, I always see people saying this. They either have very bad memories or actually mean "Blizzard has never made a bad game since I played Starcraft".

I've never played either of those. I didn't know they were Blizzard Games. I was referring to Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo (in all there incarnations).

Having only played a little Starcraft to date, I don't think I can comment on the Blizzard games much. However, I do agree about WoW: that game has a way of sucking your life away. And besides, I refuse to pay monthly for a game I've already bought, so there. :P
