Commander of the Army Resignation

Subject line says it all, but it is obligatory for High Command members to make a sentimental speech explaining why we've quit, the good times we've had and so on. Oh yes, my successor too.

Reason
It's been a quick run for me, making it to High Command in less than three years. I've held all sorts of commands on the way, including two Companies, a Brigade and the Royal Guard. Not to mention the entire Army. However, only a completely blind person would fail to notice that my activity has drastically dropped off in the last six months or so, due to RL reasons. In fact, I originally intended to resign back in January or so... the limiting factor at the time was the lack of personnel in the Army to succeed.

Ah, those are numerous. Beyond all those great multiplayer battles in ICTE, ORW3 and our own ladders, there were the countless late, late nights on IRC talking crap with other GE members. It really is the people that makes a club worth being in... and the GE > everything else IMO.

Successor
Okay, it's very simple. Colonel Antillies is succeeding me as the Commander of the Army. While this leaves several spots vacant, I know plans are in the works to fill them. However, it's no longer my place to make any announcements! ;)

As for me, the Empire isn't getting rid of me that easily. Fleet Admiral Fel has given me the choice of any vacant postings in the Empire I want and I've decided to take Platoon Leader 2 of Gorgon Company. Lieutenant Viper; Good luck! :P

After some time, General Burton has indicated his intention to step down from Army Command, owing primarily to personal reasons.

Burton climbed the ladder of command very quickly in the Army, due to his high levels of activity and devotion to the Empire. Certainly his strongest point was his multiplayer ability - during his tenure as Captain of the Royal Guard, he built an elite combat unit, feared in the Inter-Club Training Event. He also set an excellent example as the Commander of the Army. Your service to the Empire was greatly appreciated.

Per his request, Burton is hereby demoted to...
MSG Burton / Gorgon P2L / 2nd Brigade / Imperial Army
... and with this demotion, Sergeant Burton departs both Army and High Command.

As a final note, I see fit to reward him for his service as RG-CPT and CoA with the coveted Gold Seal...!

Accepting General Burton's recommendation for a successor, I hereby promote...

LCL Antillies / BRG-CO / 1st Brigade / Imperial Army
...to...
MGN Antillies / CoA / / Imperial Army

...and confer upon him all the duties, responsibilities, and privileges that go with unit command. At this point, General Antillies not only joins the ranks of Army Command, but also Imperial High Command.

General Antillies has proven himself a very capable and competent officer throughout his service to the Empire. His shining example should be an inspiration to officers throughout the Empire.

Look for further changes in the Army Command Structure - specifically related to the Master-At-Arms Position - in the near future.
