So gentlemen. Give up if you want, more glory for me. The emperors hammer is in flames, the imperial directorate is a joke, the star vipers are dead. The galaxy is OURS. Are you all going to sit around and let it just be? The age of success is NOT over, it has begun. You have outlasted most every club... now take your place as the rightful heirs. Your enemys are destroyed or scattered, you have but a few clubs left that could deal blows to you. The DJB, the RS, the DJO. I will not even mention my ex club the NRN. So stand up, fight and make them cry every single damn time they see us enter club competitions. Make them fear us. We have survived where other clubs have faltered, where other clubs fall apart, or descend onto themselves with power vaccums. I ask you all, here and now, even if its but one or two who even care... what keeps us from laying waste to other clubs in competition, what keeps us from dominating every single comp or icte? We should make other clubs envy us, make them fear us, once they do.. they will join us, alot of gamers go where the winners are. Why dont we win then? I have under Burtons aid of accessing the archive been studying out history. You should be proud, you have done what others have not, you have done what the great and mighty emperors hammer has not. You have survived. Dont squander this.

I have three goals in this club at this time. I want to earn a Gold Seal. A long term goal. I wish to be a Imperial Soverign Protector by my own skill as apposed to every ISP in the history of the club being appointed. Third and finaly I wish to be Dark Lady of the Sith. Since the club doesn't support that rank or concept I shall deal with it on my own devices. But I will accomplish all three. Then I shall make more goals. When there gone, I will make more. I suggest you all do the same to keep motivated.

I think we already did that. Nobody wants to play against Mar in the ICTE anymore and they already changed the rules, because we were winning too much. :P

lolz. I liked the speech. Several valid points there. Particularly the fact that we've outlasted the "greatest" internet clubs.

The GE has not given up. We may not be in our golden age where we had like 4 or 5 ships crewed, but we're not dead yet, nor do we plan on dying any time soon. We'll keep getting new memebers, and it's true, more will join if we win more.

Those aren't things we can control, but they are things the GE has been relying on for a long time, and is now taking a turn for the worse.

As time goes by Lucas Arts will hopefully get back into their fan favorites. All we have to do is endure.

since we're on the topic of competitions, I say we should get another Outer Sectors going. However, this time I think we should make it a collaboration with the DJB. Make it interesting.

but we can not ignore the fact that the Star Wars rush is OVER. Lucas Arts is killing us. Nothing but MMO's and console games. MMO's cost money, so there's no way the GE is going to get into that. And we're a PC club, so console games are >.< for us.

At least the older games usually attract quality members. If you like an old game enough to play it and actively search for other people, the chance of you not being part of the OMG generation is quite high. Like back when EaW came out and we'd get 10 or more signups a day - almost all were retards. :P

It's an interesting idea, but it's held up by a few problems, including the fact that the DJB has their own events and probably aren't all that interested in participating in ours.

Also, your very active on the message boards. Are you as active in the club as a member? Do you play comps and games, take exams. I had difficulty finding you on the active lists. I might have not noticed the name, but if that was not the case then I have to say... if you have so much time to contribute daily to the message board why don't you become active and set a example to everyone who will look up to you in the future as a role model in this club.
