EAW Best "Cost vs Efficiency" ship

Here are my recommendations.

As Imperials : Tartans

Cheap, fast, they eat Y-Wings for breakfast and they are great Mines Killers

and

As Rebels : FRGs

The best Mines Killers of the game. Once you send one unit within a Mine premises, you sure start putting pressure on your opponent.

I would also recommend the Acclamator for the Imperials. 2350 for a nice ship with good fire power (including torps and missiles), an increased fire ability, and a spawn of numerous TIE Fighters and a TIE Bomber (perhaps it's best perk). Get three of these to hit a lvl 2 station and, if the opponent isn't too bright), checkmate.

I almost say X-Wings are more cost effect than FRGs. Increased firepower immediately (if you get the upgrade from the lvl 1 station) and ability to deploy s-foils. A group of s-foiled X-Wings can plauge the Imperial rear area and mines for a very long time.

right... well, getting back on track, I have to say acclamators are some of the best cost vs. effictive ships in the game. I also particularly like the Victory star destroyer. those ion cannons and extra squadrons are more than worth the 4200 credits it costs to build one, though most games against Mike or Antillies end in the lvl 2 station, whereas the victory is only available at lvl 4 and up.
