Upcoming Competition

Ladies and Gentleman of the Galactic Empire,

In an effort to better prepare the membership of the GE for the possibility of upcoming multiplayer warfare with other clubs, Commander La Forge and I have decided to hold a competition, which we've dubbed "Operation Reforger". This competition will encompass most of the traditional activates of the GE; Piloting, Art, Fiction, Recruitment, and will be open to all GE members in all branches of service.

This message is merely a warning of what's coming. The official announcement, including the detailed list of activities, rules, etc, will be posted on Saturday the 28th. I'd also like to mention that this will not be a standard " A versus B" Competition. The events in this competition will be geared towards individual challenge, not squadron or ship level activities. Members will have the ability to participate on their own for a medal in each competition category. The most active person overall will also receive a special something for his/her achievement.

So dust off your joysticks, reinstall your paint and word-processing programs and get ready to spread the word about the Empire, it's time to get ready for the future.

You a T. Clancy fan?

Interested in NATO plans? Or just misusing Forge's name?

That sounds awesome, but I can't use the dumb mouse to scratch out anything worthy of the title "art". Maybe I could scan,,, but fiction rocks! I think now would be a good time for me to reveal chapter 3 of "Black Rain" it'll be out soon! But wait until I release the sequel to "Black Rain" It's entitled "Purple Lightening". Don't ask, I don't know where I got it from

On the downside, everyone I recruit either turns out to be a spammer, or they never graduate.

Heh... i guess i have no edge here.

I'll have some art for you (banners and stuff) soon, along with more fiction and upates on the Archives (if they count and if they dont).

To clarify:

Graphics will be, for the most part, divided into set categories with their own requirements. Fiction will be in the form of a runon contest. More details will follow from Captain Wedge on the 28th.

Also: The good Captain Calder will also be judging.

Sorry for my flakiness with my fiction. School has gotten in the way of my personal time (why must school start on August 9th here in the South?). I promise to have Chapter Two posted ASAP, with Chapter Three to come along soon. Just bear with me here. At least the SFO has a soft spot for fiction. I hope he likes my work (crosses fingers and himself in anxiety)...

Sorry for being late in saying Thanks to the Legion brass for promoting me to SerMajor. Nice to know my work is appreciated here...

. It is unfortunately similar to the name of a certain GE Commander, but I'm afraid it's the only thing we could agree on, and it sounds a lot better than Operation Imperial SomethingOrOther.

Yes, I will be judging and as always I will judge *fairly* though Syrtaras is 110% correct: I like quality over quantity (though high quantities of high quality material are sure to be received well).

I'm sure all our judges will do a fine job. And yes, Wedge and I are both major Clancy fans, so the name is actually rather fitting.

Syrt: No worries. I'll send the MSE-6s from the sandbox to my quarters after they're done there.
