ladder kills?

Post by LC Eddard Stark »

I played a few matches with SL Russell and we both were flying our 6th fighter and we killed eachother at the same time. I was wondering how often this has happend here in the GE? Is it common? Its never happend to me before.

Also how is one supposed to score that match? Since its a tie?

That happened to me once, also. Uless you can determine to both of your satesfaction who "blew up" first, your stuck with the tie. Since you can't report a Tie yet with the current system, I suppose you could both report a win by refusal twice. That would give you both the two points for flying.

Look at the points, the one with the less points would lose...

Lt... you get points for every kill that you make. If both people are on their 6th fighter and both die at the same time it gives you both an even score and places you both in 1st on the "after action" screen.

If that happens, why not just replay the match?

I think that in all fairness Say has the right idea - you should do a rematch.

Or if for time reasons you can't do a rematch, then make it golden goal: start another match, and the winner is the first one to get a clear kill.

Wedge and i both killed each other's 6th craft a the same time... but he was marked in first place, but i had more points... there for it was a Tie

But if he was marked as 1st and had more points, he would win, ...i think

Yep, that is what I used to do. That or a 5 min extension.

The issue of points vs kills is a non-issue . . . before the match starts, you should all know the tiebreakers (pardon the pun). If it's purely on kills, then who got how many points (at a guess, that is also based on accuracy) is irrelevant. If it's kills with points as a tiebreaker, than that obviously *is* relevant.

So, just decide before the match, or have the GE write some official rules or similar.
