My recommendation is this, Mr. Quan. First of all, stay with the Army - they offer a wide range of platforms and all that, and should be fun. Secondly, you can always keep your Army cadet and create a SWG cadet with the same email address (a fact which I believe is listed clearly on the recruitment form). This way, you can still get into the Army and play SWG "offically", if you will.

Just my thoughts.
