Spearhead Reports
Spearhead Report, 12/18/04:
Company Name: Spearhead
Company CO: Army Lieutenant Matthew Mitchell
Company XO: 2nd Lieutenant Tsai Branet
Motto(Pending DivComm Approval): "Hasta la victoria siempre"
Roster/Report Status:
Company CO: ALT Mitchell (12/18/04)
Company XO: 2LT Branet (12/17)
Spearhead Three: LCP Farmer (Appears on MBs, but has not reported directly to me, would not mind a line from you)
Speahead Four: SGT Glendon (Same as Farmer)
Remarks/News: A mild shakeup in the Army ranks has resulted in the deactivation of Raider Company, landed Sperhead's former CO the rank of Major and Senior Drill Instructor duties, and put me in command in his place. The Army's ranks are ever-changing, and this round of musical chairs is indicative of this new wave of leadership that is hopefully going to stir some life into the GE.
The holiday season is fast approaching, and I would like to mention that I will probably be on leave as early as December 23rd (definitely off duty by December 26th) to return right around New Year's, give or take a day. I would like to give my Season's Greetings to all of you right now, should I forget to do so next week.
Finally, remember to stay active, report to me every two weeks or so, get on the MBs, IRC, ladders, fiction, whatever you can do to contribute.

Muchas gracias, senor.

SGT Glendon: Active on MBs, ought to give a brief personal report sometime...I am a nice guy Glendon, and appreciate interaction
LCP Farmer: Same as Glendon
Thoughts: Hope everyone had a bl***ed holiday season and a fine New Year. Now that all the festivities are through, it's time to get back to our routines, both in GE and RL. I get back to school tomorrow (of course putting a 1500 word World Lit paper off to the last minute!), and will be adjusting a bit to waking up at six AM every morning again.
Orders, same as usual. Take care everybody, and make sure to contact me if you haven't already.

Spearhead Report, 1/15/04
Company CO: Army Lieutenant Matthew Mitchell
Company XO: 2nd Lieutenant Tsai Branet
Company Motto: "Hasta la victoria siempre."
Report Status:
Company CO: ALT Mitchell-Hooah!
Company XO: 2LT Branet- On MBs, reports as usual
Spearhead Three: SGT Glendon- LOA for time being
Spearhead Four: LCP Farmer- MBs, RL obligations, but still around
Remarks: Well, school is in full swing again for me. My Calculus and Biology classes have come back to haunt my dreams, with photosynthesis and other horrible nightmares to come. My activity therefore has been relatively limited here (sadly, my time for fiction is almost negligible, lest I would have already written an Ewok Hunt tale).
Stay active when we can, however you can, is what I expect from all of you guys. Have a good evening, folks...

Remarks: Well, school is in full swing again for me. My Calculus and Biology classes have come back to haunt my dreams, with trigonometric integration and other horrible nightmares to come. My activity has been relatively limited here (sadly, my time for fiction is almost negligible, lest I would have already written an Ewok Hunt tale).
Also: My old man is getting irritated with all of the Spyware that is finding its way into our family computer (the only one in the house with Internet access). Consequently, he has asked that all MB communications in our family end immediately. It's still his house, I'm still his son, and this is one battle that's not worth fighting (and losing) for. Therefore, I will not be on the MBs anymore (though I will try to visit IRC more often instead, if only as an unregistered user. College is only a year and a half away, fortunately, and hopefully I will have my own computer, and my own Spyware issues to handle myself when that time comes.
Finally, I am planning on changing my e-mail address soon, but not right away. If I do start a new account, it will be northsidesupplyside@fastmail.fm. However, you can still reach me at my normal address until further notice. This is just a heads-up message for my fellow Army officers and ER friends.
Stay active when we can, however you can, is what I expect from all of you guys. Take care, y'all...

Company CO: ALT Mitchell

News and Notes
All members have reported to me within the past week. I am trying to
revive my Broken Chain series. However, RL problems give me no
guarantees on that, though I will do my best. Chapter Three is almost
finished and ready to be transcribed into the Archives.
Stay active, however you can, folks. I am ordering all Spearhead members
to do what they can with the Outer Limits Campaign, as soon as more is
learned about it. But keep active until that comes along. That is all.

Spearhead Report, 3/09/05
Roster/Report Status
Company CO: ALT Mitchell- HOOAH!
Company XO: LT Branet Seen on MBs, has reported recently
Spearhead 3: SGT Glendon-heard from you this weekend
Spearhead 4: LCP Farmer-same as Glendon, thank you both
News and Notes
Broken Chain is on hold for the time being. I have an SAT, a beastly
Spanish oral, an AP and IB mock, an ACT and track season getting in my
way. However, I will do my best to put in as many fiction pieces as
possible for the Outer Sectors Campaign, as that is a higher GE priority
than my little stories (my apologies for those who read and enjoy the
series). Just got home from a track meet and did well, considering I
haven't raced much of anything in about five months....
I have submitted a rather short fiction piece for Outer Sectors (a very
in-character testimony of my company's work on Geonosis), and hope to
add to it if asked to. I want all of my Spearhead comrades (and my
fellow Army grunts) to get involved in this. This will help boost the
GE's vitality and action to prospective members, and may help bring the
GE back to more prosperous times. Plus, there's always medals and
promotions in it for those who get involved.
Get involved in the campaign any way you can, be it with fiction (like
me), mission design, combat simulations, recruitment, whatever you can
do to contribute. Do your part and reaping the benefits of your work
will be that much sweeter. That is all.
Quote of the week: "I only know two tunes. One is Yankee Doodle Dandy,
and the other one isn't." Ulysses S. Grant
Colonel Fel: If you need quotes, sir, I am more than willing to provide
them. I have many that you would enjoy putting in your Brigade reports.
You don't even have to credit me when you put them in. Now isn't that
sweet?

Spearhead Report, 3/17/05
Company CO: ALT Mitchell-HOOAH!
Company XO: 2LT Branet-Hard at work in all areas of Empire, I don't
worry much about you...
Spearhead 3: SGT Glendon-Received report from you yesterday, Sergeant.
Much appreciated...
Spearhead 4: LCP Farmer-have not heard or seen much lately, I understand
he has RL issues...
Last report was March 9th, I believe. I have remained in contact with
all of my members on a relatively consistent basis. Farmer has his share
of RL obligations, but still makes time to post on the Mbs and contact
me a few times a month. Glendon reported to me yesterday, and Branet is
doing his good work all over the GE. You'll never have to worry about
him.
I know that I am eagerly awaiting Outer Sectors updates tomorrow, though
I doubt that I will be able to attend tomorrow's meeting (have a lunch
and a job application or two to make). I am certain Branet is doing his
share of work in the campaign, being in the Navy and being Recon
Director, and I have highly encouraged (if not mandated) activity out of
Glendon and Farmer in any way possible.
That is all for the moment.

Company CO: ALT Mitchell-HOOAH!
Company XO: 2LT Branet-Hard at work in all areas of Empire, I don't
worry much about you...
Spearhead 3: SGT Glendon-Don't know if I've seen you around much, though
you were at the last GE meeting. Drop me a line in the next few days
Spearhead 4: PFC Saccor-I need to hear from you soon, Private, lest you
become AWOL
Spearhead 5: LCP Farmer-Have seen on MBs lately, you're OK
Spearhead 6: PFC Draco-Welcome to the Empire! Please report to me as
soon as possible
News and Notes: Firstly, let me publicly welcome PFC Saccor and PFC
Draco to the Imperial Army! I am Captain Mitchell, you commanding
officer. Please feel free to contact me for any reason (other than
asking me for good drug fixes on the 'Net. I don't know any, and I would
be forced to remove you from the GE).
A personal report from me: I am on spring break and have little to do
(except a bunch of homework that I might have to get around to doing
very soon). I have done what I can with OS, seeing that I do not own GB.
Which brings me to the main point of my comments. So far, only 2LT
Branet has sent in a GB mission for the Outer Sectors campaign. I
received a message from Colonel Fel which tells me that "this OS chapter
isn't going to be the last one with a GB mission" (his own words). In
other words, it is incumbent on this company to lead the way in the
campaign should more GB missions be assigned in future chapters.
There is still time to complete the assigned mission. You all have until
23:59 PM GMT (4:29 PM Eastern Time) to complete and submit missions. For
my newer officers, this campaign os a critical campaign which may have
serious consequences for the Empire based on the activity levels of its
officers. If you newer officers need to get up to speed on Outer
Sectors, you can access the Outer Sectors forum in the message boards.
But I must impress upon you the necessity of completeing these
assignments if possible. I do not want to resort to the old-fashioned
system of rewards and demerits to encourage activity, but I will if I
have to. This award system will probably chiefly consist of medal
awards, for I do not feel promotions nor demotions are appropriate
actions to promote activity.
But hopefully it will not come to that. If there is not enough time for
this chapter, please work to complete all future GB missions in the
coming chapters. If I am not the one to reward you for your good work,
someone else will. I can assure you of that.
Hope to hear from you all soon. Move out, and get those missions taken
care of!

Other Stuff:
Aloha, troops! This is my first report so it'll be slightly dodgy...if i've missed anything feel free to email me and i'll include it next time.
i would have done this report sooner but i've been bogged down with work (im a slave at the local Maccy Ds) and avoiding revision (A levels. hopefully going to Uni in september)
in other news.....im going to see Episode III on thursday! and i cant wait. must buy a couple of lightsabres to take with me...and a towel to make up for leaving it at home when i went to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy preview screening. i am a fool.
If EpIII is as good as the novelisation i read then we're in for a good couple of hours...
until next time, sayonara!
Extra Bit:
this'll just be random stuff thats ammused me recently. this time:
Arrested Development series 2
i've downloaded most of it after buying the series 1 DVD because i couldnt be arsed to wait until the BBC got around to showing it in the autumn. this is easily the best american sit-com i've seen now that Frasiers finished.
Ian McKellan in Coronation Street
which is a soap set in Manchester if you didnt know. theres slightly less people shouting at each other than EastEnders. its slightly surreal having Magnito wandering around with the likes of Audrey and Rita....i discovered recently that the bloke whos Fred Elliot was in A Clockwork Orange which i laughed at for about 10 minutes...
That &*£%ing Crazy Frog ringtone
dont know what im on about? consider yourself lucky. if i ever find the person who came up with it, they'll find they're looking down the wrong end of an Imperial blaster....
