Navy Tactical Coordinator Announced!

The Naval Tactical Coordinator position is currently empty, however this is now not the case. In the past, this was an Admiralty position in the Navy, but due to fleet numbers we have reduced this down to a Temporary Duty Assignment. The exact future of the position is undecided at present.

Whilst currently a Naval Officer, this post will actually look after *all* platforms's mission submissions. Please send your completed simulations (please refer to the Officer's Manual curently located in the Databank for requirements) to tactical@empirereborn.net.

It is my pleasure to announce the officer who will fill this position for the current time, this being the leader of Zeta Squadron, a long standing member of the club who has been involved in many different parts of it and has a huge background knowledge. This is infact Lieutenant Commander G. Vortagh.

My congratulations to him and I hope we shall see new missions appearing in the combat chamber in the near future.

Right. A website for Mr. Vortagh will be up as soon as I can talk to the Fleet Admiral and get the required items onto the server.

First of all thanks for all the congrats. :P

Anyways, I do not think that at the moment there is much to do for the TC. I don't think we have many people sending in stuff (I recieved two missions from PFC Sannah) or will have a large rise in those numbers.
Also, my personal stand on the old GE missions is that it would be a waste of time and effort to get them up to standards. With a small hand full of exceptions, they all suck majorly. No briefings (or only horrible carcasses of them), bad mission construction in general and what's worse - horrible, if any, storylines.

If somebody would like to take the task of rebuilding these - go right ahead and contact me. I will even award you something nifty for that task - but I won't touch them.

I will concentrate on getting XWA more popular again (and I have a few nifty things that you might not know about yet, already ;-)) and actually getting to work on my own missions. We'll see where that leads.

Well, speach is over. :P

@Splatter: If any that means I will include a "TC activity" section in my reports and make them even longer. :P

Well I think I've got three sitting on my computer to send in, I believe one's a five-mission battle and the others are stand-alones (which if I remember correctly, are inellegible).
I can redo missions if you want for TIE.

Jag: Single mission battles are fine... they're not really battles, but we have a number of them in the CC right now.

And yeah, I have a battle or two which I'll need to look at and send in myself.

I think I still have some of Tirions Battles & Missions here. Don't know if they ever made it into the Combat Chamber, but he handed them in for GE DOM II.

After I played them, I will see if they are in fact uploaded or not and if not, I will upload them.

At least I remember test flying some of those back when Syr was Navy-TC

Can't remember if we flew competitions in those, so can't say if they're uploaded or not..

I just checked. The missions I have here, created by Tirion, are titled "Sigma Tour of Duty"

SIGMA TOUR OF DUTY
- By LC Tirion

Summary :
A newcomer joins Sigma Squadron just as hints Big Bad Things out there in the unexplored Fringe Territories begin appearing.

The Storyline :
A newly commissioned pilot joins the newly commissioned Sigma squadron, aboard the newly commissioned FRG Kepler. You fly as this greenhorn Ensign as he pokes his nose into places and becomes innocently aware of a lot of trouble brewing on the horizon in this simulation with a Totally Uninspiring Title (TUT).

Apparently this has never been uploaded to the CC. I guess we'll have new missions for TIE in there, soon. ;-)

We also have 6 TIE missions by La Forge, 1 4-mission TIE battle by Splatter,
one *7*-mission TIE battle by Wilde Fanatic, 2 TIE missions by Muscat, 1 TIE mission by Krattle, 1 TIE mission by Fel and a 5-mission BoP battle by Trell.

These will all be added to my "TC Queue" and then hopefully added to the Combat Chamber.

That would give us 26 more missions to fly alltogether and thus raise the ammount of missions we have there to 137 (currently we have 111 missions there).

Still 13 short for a MoC-5S, though. :P

You sent in quite a bit of stuff. I will check the missions out and if they are any good, you might even stand a chance at getting one of the "better" medals. :-)
