Officers of the Empire:

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm safe and sound and enjoying my leave. For those of you who don't know, I'm currently an engineering officer aboard a Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise ship operating around Hawaii. I should be back in the timeframe of 15 May to 22 May (not sure exactly yet).

Upon my return, I look forward to jumping into Outer Sectors and bumping Commander La Forge back down to playing second fiddle to me.

Yes... everyone picks on me. Why?! Why, oh cruel world?! Why?!

But no, it'll be good to have the Keptin back so I can put my feet up and not have to worry about the Chimmy being blown up, or reports, or all those other dreadful things.

As a side note, if anyone is looking at taking a cruise, let me know because I could probably get you a reduced rate for most NCL ships.

Zwib and I always wanted to take a cruise, but boy are they expensive - especially the ones to the polar circle and beyond...

We'd have to rename the ship for the duration though, to something fitting an Imperial vessel. And we'd have to install a sandbox on the bridge.

Hmmm, that would be interesting to say the least. Except I don't know when I could go.

Also, yes, we'd need a sandbox on the bridge, and would we ever have fun with Wedge and Calder arguing over who's boat this is and La Forge in the sandbox and Vortagh steering and shouting submarine commands while the army conducts drills below decks and Fel and Jansen and Polanski sit on the observation deck and enjoy...

I would have a laptop or whatnot along with me, and I would be doing my coding in the sandbox. So it sounds good to me.

Getting sand in the laptop could damage it, so we'll issue you some Imperial Equipment that will resist any and all sand damage:

-- One (1) Pad of Yellow Legal Paper
-- Two (2) Number Two Pencils, Pre-sharpened, with erasers attached
-- One (1) Pencil Sharpener
