New and looking for advice

Im new to the Imperial Army and I just want to say hello to all my fellow Army comrades. I hope that someone will give me some advice on conduct (besides the obvious) and any information on how to get further in the Emipre and how to best serve.

Thank you for any advice you can give me.

A good advice that I can give you is to read a lot of the messages posted here , on the MBs. Especially the ones from High command and the ones for the Army.

Welcome to the Army, Private! I am Major Mitchell, Colonel Fel's XO. I am also available to answer any questions about the Army that you may have, though Colonel Fel should be you first stop for information, or even better Captain Chu, your new Company CO. He's an outstanding officer; you're lucky to have him as your commander.

A word of advice, briefly: Stay active and make an impression early. Find a certain area that you can excel in, and find your way into leadership roles. By making yourself active and involved, you will be successful here, especially when you are eventually called upon to put your talents to work. As I said, I am free to help you in these matters, along with Colonel Fel and Captain Chu. Good luck, Private!

It's great that you got on the MBs, that alone will help you along the way. If you haven't been to the Army's site I'd suggest you look around there, read the Fleld Manual, get used to checking it every now and then for updates.
As far as instructions, get as involved in the OuterSectors campaign as you can, routinely visit the MBs, and get mIRC and AIM if you can, also.

How do I get involved in the events. In games like Battlefront, or Jedi Acadamy, I don't recall seeing a dedicated server run by GE. Do i have to look for events or do I just hop into a server that is run by GE and play with people. Also for when gaming. Should i just use my screen-name or should i put my rank in front of it.

Also, how do I edit my profile. I've looked at my friends and he has a history and other such items that I would like to work on. Unless I was supposed to put information in when I registered my name, I would love to know how.

We don't have our own server, but we use the EH Dark Brotherhoods server.

You don't need to use a special name, but I like to use [GE]Jansen for mine.

To edit your profile you should log into admin at the following..

http://admin.empirereborn.net/login.php

Use your PIN and the password you were assigned when you joined. If you don't know it, you can use the Retrieve Authcode option and it will mail one to you.

Use GE Administration. There is a link on the sidebar of the main site, somewhere around Officer Resources or something like that. Log in and you can update stuff.

Say, I've been trying to connect to the Undernet chat program, and I am having trouble logging on. Any advice? When I go on to the page and put my settings in, it comes up with a page error.
