Well, I'll just start up my own convos about politics, war, etc. in my TownHall.com blog (the link is in my sig). You don't need mIRC to get great discussions...right?

Oh, why can't I ever show up in IRC when people are talking?

You have to do it when it is least convinient for you. That's how you get into conversations.

OK, Since i've been strapped for time as far as using the computer goes lately, I'm gonna attempt to start writing a story. I've got a basic idea of what I'm gonna do, but its the first real time I've attempted to write a story. Please don't give me any plot suggestions, since Ill end up beating myself to death if I feel I stole something, but it wouldn't help to have any advice and comments as I do write and submit stories. Also, as I do write chapters, or however i organize it, where shuold I submit it and other such information. I hope that I'll do ok with it and it shouuld help with my chance of getting a promotion faster than if i just sit on my butt talking on the forums, so I'm definently gonna try and do this.

You can add fiction to the Imperial Archives. The Fiction section is found in the General Archives. I am always free to give advice and help, as I am unable to write further fiction due to RL constraints (insert shameless plug for my Broken Chain series....NOW!! Read it, soldier!!!)

OK I have a new queston. What do I have to do to be promoted? Do I have to perform certain set tasks, or do I just have to be around and be liked by my superiors? I plan on getting along with you higher ups so I just want to know if there's anything else I need to do.

General activity of all sorts is good. Of course there has to be an open spot to be promoted into, as well, but with your low rank (no offense meant), there are still more than enough open spots "ahead" of you.
At my rank, there is little - if any - movement. :.(

Other than that, try to excell at everything you do and do as much as possible - more than one would be asked for in the Officers Manual, for example.
