<FA_Pol> #1. Recent events and updates!
<FA_Pol> There have been a lot of events that have taken place since the last GE meeting. These include, most obviously the creation of the Empire Reborn - the new name for the GE under my own command. As you know we've got our new domain, and things are progressing slowly.
<FA_Pol> My apologies for lack of domain updates at the moment - I was caught with RL exams and then I've been sampling Star Wars Galaxies. I will get back to coding this week. See below for more on this!

<FA_Pol> #2. Civil Sector Created and opened!
<FA_Pol> With the addition of Star Wars Galaxies to the Empire Reborn, we have a new division of the Civil Sector. This doubles as the web side of the Player Association (PA) inside the actual game. With the sigificant efforts of Jansen and Vortagh, we have a hall, with a lot of items inside and a healthy ecomony I'd like to see this also as an opportunity to recruit some new members.

<FA_Pol> #3. Website news
<FA_Pol> I'll be working on this shortly. I am in the process of writing the combat section - my plans include so far the revamped combat chamber, a new set of ladders (of various types) and a new feature that allows you to review TIE Fighter pilots online without the need of a separate editor (this has been completed).
<FA_Pol> Once I get down to it, this shouldn't take too long, I usually can get things turned out quite quickly. Any suggestions for other new or important features are of course much welcome send to my mailbox!

<FA_Pol> #4. Imperial Army
<FA_Pol> As you can see, we have an army division. To keep all the gossip down; this division will become live with the new Battlefront game being released.
<FA_Pol> Most of the ranks, and documentation have been completed, and will appear in the revised GE Manual.

<FA_Pol> #5. Imperial Archivist
<FA_Pol> This was a post advertised on the messageboards. I have several applicants, and I will look through these. The post will involve the creation of the new GE manual, based upon the one by Grand Admiral Daemon, although updated to reflect all our changes.
<FA_Pol> It will also be a post where they look after the new Imperial Archives, which is run via a Wiki based system (for an example, check out www.wikipedia.org). Further information is to follow.

<FA_Pol> #6. Fleet Activity and numbers
<FA_Pol> Yes, so this usually goes at the beginning, although I've left it out The Official rosters read at 329; with 22 cadets. We should hopefully see this increase - we've had a fair few graduate through the academy so far
<FA_Pol> However, less good is the fleet activity - we need to try to raise the activity. Please try to get all your squads/ships etc to sign up on the messageboards. They are a key to the ER communication.

<FA_Pol> Overall I'm happy how things have turned out so far, and that there is decidication amongst the fleet. I hope that we shall continue to keep this up, and also expand as necessary. With a few more graduated pilots, we'll need to open up new squadrons, and perhaps even a new ship.

<RA_Fel> First up: We've had quite a number of cadets graduate since last time we met. Cadets are now being placed by either myself or FA Polanski within 48 hours of their graduation.
<RA_Fel> Also, any and all navy roster updates (up to the rank of Commander) are within my jurisdiction, so send me an e-mail requesting any such updates.
<RA_Fel> That said, if you in the chain of command (i.e. Captain of the ship) where there is a promotion, please don't forget to CC me on your approval of any promotions.

<RA_Fel> As soon as I have the appropriate approvals, they will be processed.

<AD_Jansen> 1) The Academy has a new Prefect. Lt. Commander Longstreet. There are also 2 Professors, TL Veila and LT Broliv. The largest staff I have ever had..

<AD_Jansen> 2) New exams added to the Academy. We now have a Navy Officers Exam, Legion Officers Exam, ISB Agent Exam and a Squadron Leadership Exam. More are in the works and officers with any ideas please e-mail me. http://academy.empirereborin.net/bcc.html
<AD_Jansen> 3) The Academy is doing well. The number of cadets is growing and growing. With the Mentor Programs in full swing, things are looking good.

<AD_Jansen> As Legion Commander and Imperial Soverign Protector within the Royal Guard, I hereby induct High Colonel Derlin into the ranks of the Imperial Royal Guard, obtaining the introductory rank of Royal Guardsman Initiate (RG-INI).

<AD_Jansen> He has served well as my my second in command since I obtained Regiment Commander and he completes any task to his greatest ability. Mind you, he is one of the best JK/JO fighters I know. Welcome to the Royal Guard, Initiate Derlin. Congratulations!

<Vortagh> I decided to get rid of the old one (and will do so in a few weeks, when everybody knows. At the moment I am getting too much spam with it.
<Vortagh> The ImperialSquadrons.Net will have a server move, soon. I found a few offers that are a lot cheaper and more tailored to my needs, instead of bombarding me with lots of stuff I will never need (yet still pay for).
<Vortagh> Then we have the Civil Section.
<Vortagh> As mentioned before, we now have a PA Hall and a "Warehouse" and are currently put up furniture there, to make it all homely.
<Vortagh> Our ranks have reached an impressive 8 (:P) and I am currently talking to two more players who are interested and have a definite from two others already.

<Vortagh> Splatter: Depends how much you pay in advance. One month goes for 13 Euro, but if you pay 6 months in advance you get one of these for free (etcetc)

<EN_Russell> Perhaps the NCO Corps was a failure in the past, but with a little bit of effort it may be created into a contributing factor, although perhaps under a different name.

<Vortagh> No, because usually people have a game
<Splatter``> all the work they "could" do is better done by legion or navy people during competitions, it also furthers the activity there
<Vortagh> The NCO corps was staffed by clones of GE members who, very soon, found out that they are doing the same job, twice
<DanRO`> To be honest, almost 99% of all members won´t use any of the platforms at all.
<DanRO`> They always come up with some lame excuse.
<Vortagh> We had...three or so members who did not own a plattform and each of them left very soon
<Fel> Especially considering you can get your hands on a copy of any of the Navy games for less than $10 USD...

<LC_Long> That´s their job, the other division wouldn´t work if they would only use the games not having chances of something else, the NCO corps is a chance for everyone to serve! The problem was it was inactive from it´s members, not from it´s form. I also thought of joining it in my internet error years.
<Vortagh> Fel: I payed 5 Euros or so for XWA - I think you can get it for 299 now
