[19:01:50] <FA_Fel> As announced earlier on the message boards and in your inbox, following the resignation of Line Captain La Forge, it was my pleasure to announce the promotion of Captain Laithlis to the rank of Line Captain, and confer upon him the privileges and duties of the Senior Fleet Officer.
[19:01:56] <FA_Fel> The Senior Fleet Officer is one of the closest-serving officers to the Supreme Commander... A figurehead of the Imperial Fleet, he commands the ISD Chimaera: flagship of the Supreme Commander and the entire Galactic Empire.
[19:02:03] <FA_Fel> The SFO may also serve as an assistant to the Commander of the Navy in overseeing division operations.
[19:02:09] <FA_Fel> Please extend to him your congratulations!
[19:02:20] <FA_Fel> 2) Resignation of Wing Commander Muscat
[19:02:29] <FA_Fel> As many of you are well aware, Wing Commander Muscat has elected to stand down from active duty effective 1 June... In his tenure as First Officer of the Chimaera, Mr. Muscat has certainly served admirably.
[19:02:40] <FA_Fel> It is therefore my pleasure, in conjunction with his resignation, to confer upon him the honourary rank of Captain, in acknowledgment of his command ability.
[19:02:46] <FA_Fel> It is the Empire's loss that you were unable to wear the rank in active service, Captain...
[19:02:56] <FA_Fel> 3) The Return of Say!
[19:03:05] <FA_Fel> I am happy to announce the return of Sayrah "Schnapps" Mikfarlant - commonly known as Say - to the rank of Commander and the first officer position aboard the flagship.
[19:03:15] <FA_Fel> Say was a long-serving member of the very famous Victory Star Destroyer Striker several years ago, and she was indeed once captain of the Striker...
[19:03:23] <FA_Fel> More recently, however, she was a member of the civil sector (Star Wars Galaxies).
[19:03:34] <FA_Fel> I am certain that Say will do an excellent job of working with Line Captain Laithlis, and will make a great first officer. Please give her a hearty welcome back to active duty!
[19:03:53] <FA_Fel> 4) GERLM 2.5 Complete, Great Success!
[19:04:02] <FA_Fel> GERLM (GE Real Life Meeting) 2.5 was held last weekend, hosted by Governor Vortagh and Vice Admiral Zwibble. I am certain all attendees had a wonderful time - I certainly did. :-)
[19:04:10] <FA_Fel> The GERLM commendations have been awarded, and it's getting time to plan for G3RLM!
[19:04:21] <FA_Fel> This, of course, leads to my next item:
[19:04:27] <FA_Fel> 5) G3RLM!
[19:04:34] <FA_Fel> Yes, GERLM III is known as G3RLM, and it's time to get it organized! The dates have been set by Governor Vortagh and Vice Admiral Zwibble (our gracious hosts once again).

[19:04:53] <FA_Fel> No doubt, Governor Vortagh has some announcement on the subject, so I will let him do the rest of the talking on that subject... ;-)
[19:04:59] <FA_Fel> And now I have Vice Admiral Jagged Fel's announcements today, since he is away...
[19:05:11] <FA_Fel> 1. Current Navy membership is 64 (+3) Officers, with 31 (-2) Cadets in the Academy.

[19:05:21] <FA_Fel> 2. While some return, others must leave. Unfortunately for us, WC Muscat has entered the Reserves (temporarily?). A long-serving officer, and a good one to boot, it is sad to see him go. Best of luck to him, and we can only hope that someday he will be able to return.

[19:05:33] <FA_Fel> 3. The first ERS in some time was released a week or two ago, and by a Reservist at that! ERS-181 for TIE Fighter is a 4-mission battle from former Strikerite and Omicron pilot Skal.
[19:05:41] <FA_Fel> "Contact has been lost with the Umian biological weapon research station. The Striker is being sent to investigate." Some of you I've seen are still actively flying. Here's a new for you boys, get going!

[19:05:50] <FA_Fel> 4. Usual notes here about the EaW Mission Challenge and the Bug Tracker. All of you should have these items memorized by now.

[19:06:00] <FA_Fel> 5. ICTE is ongoing as usual. Player count has been rather low since the ICTE started up again, to the point where record files aren't even being produced. Everyone should make an effort to play, if at least to get player counts up.
[19:06:08] <FA_Fel> Without players, the ICTE will fade into nothing, which is why we have to take the lead and get it going again. If we march in there and start sweeping medals, surely that'll scare the DJB into playing again, which means better combat for all.

[19:06:37] <FA_Fel> VA Jagged Fel should be back from leave tomorrow evening with full internet and set up for the summer.
[19:06:54] <FA_Fel> And he expects the next time he goes on leave, it will be for G3RLM. ;-)
