Troopers of the Army!

I am now taking applications for the first Republic Commando Company Commander. Applications are open to all troopers and you are required to have completed the Academy Company Leadership and Army Officer exams.

At current, its required that you have RC, but I might lift that later on depending on the amount of applicants.

Make sure to send apps to myself and cc Colonel Fel and Major Mitchell.

Why wouldn't the unit commander not be required to have RC? He *is* the leader of the unit...

Because I only know of 3 troopers with RC and 2 of them were placed last night.

Still, if we just let anyone take over any old unit without looking at what platforms they own, what is the point of having primary platform specfic units in the first place? It will do a unit no good if a unit member can not ask basic platform-related questions to his immediate superior because that superior knows nothing about the platform. At the very least, I would think a requirement of obtaining the RC BCC within x weeks might be a good idea.

Problem is, most of the new people around here don't (which is obviously to be expected). As such, I felt it was worth mentioning.
