Chief Engineer's Report: 11.13.05

        Okay, so I really haven't been doing this very often, but I said right form the start I wasn't going to be relegious with reports, especially since progress is usually slow.

I've released what I have done for the Mission Converter so far, but due to OS I don't think it will be getting much use for a while (especially since I'm the one making the TIE missions, anyway). The next portion that will be done is XvT to XWA, but I've got finals this week, followed by a week back home, so if I don't get it out by this weekend the people bugging me for it will just have to wait a little longer.

Other projects:
I haven't touched the T/e1 I was working on in favor of actually getting something done, and for the same reason I haven't been working on the editing utility since I'm not making patches right now. When I finish the converter though, these go back to top priority. But until then, I'm going to slave away in front of a screen of code in between root beers and Combat Chamber missions.

And now the obligatory real content...
====================================================================
Releases: (all programs have built-in uninstall features, but can also be done by hand)

- Mission Converter - Currently only works completely from TIE to XvT, but the mission is flyable immediately after conversion. It's possible it may require minor tweaking, but nothing I've noticed yet.

====================================================================
Updates:

-11/13 - Not really an update, but the .NET version of the PilotViewer is now online.

====================================================================
R&D:

-(All) Utility - Mission Converter (TIE -> XvT, TIE -> XWA, XvT -> XWA). Make missions once and then "upgrade" them to all three, just don't expect to be able to "dumb down" XWA missions.
-(TIE95) Utility - IDMR tool for editing text files for patch development.
-(All) Patch - Whatever ships are requested for development.

So like I said.. 2 months ago, progess is slow, so you won't hear a whole lot from me. School does that to you, as do certain Lieutenant obsessed with playing me in JO ;-)
