Official Title(s)
Position Description
Brigade CO is the commanding officer of the Brigade. Holds the rank of
Lieutenant Colonel (LCL) on appointment and may be
promoted up to Colonel (COL).
A Brigade CO's primary working relationship is with his Executive Officer... While the XO typically handles internal company coordination, a CO is the official representative of his drigade to the Empire, and is also responsible for acting as a communications proxy between his brigade and the greater Imperial Army. (It is via the CO that the majority of onboard promotions, medal awards, and other formal paperwork will be reviewed.)
Never let it be said, however, that effectively running the day-to-day operations of a brigade is not also a highly challenging endeavour... A CO must be in a state of constant activity to ensure the efficiency of unit operations. His challenges may be different from one day to the next, potentially interacting with all ranks of officers under his command.
A typical Brigade is composed of a Brigade CO, Brigade XO, and up to 32 additional officers in 4 subordinate Companies.
